We are excited to share the 2024 Annual Report with our parents, alumni, and friends. This is a simple way to say THANK YOU for your commitment to CHCA while providing a glimpse of how your giving has made a remarkable impact on our school.
The Legacy Fund was created in 2016 to provide a way for our stakeholders to give beyond tuition dollars to Cottage Hill Christian Academy. Your generosity makes it possible to provide the tools our students need to reach their God-given potential in every pillar of the educational journey - academically, artistically, athletically, and spiritually. Our purpose is to produce students who will become servant leaders who will impact the world for Christ. Our motto is Faith-Family-Future, and the Legacy Fund allows us to see our students grow in their FAITH, in a FAMILY atmosphere, while preparing them for the FUTURE.
We are grateful for your generosity, and your willingness to invest in our future is overwhelming! Thank you for choosing to partner with CHCA. We look forward to keeping the mission, expanding the vision, and taking the next steps in demonstrating Warrior Pr1de in all we do, together!
With CHRIST as my coach,
Chris Brazell Head of School
Leaving a legacy is a core value of the Cottage Hill family. In tribute to those who have paved the way, we are proud to add the Bethany Price-Williams Gipson Trellis (Class of 2002) and additional benches at the front of the West Campus, dedicated in memory of Zachary Bray (Class of 2014).
In order to add more safety to our campus a guardhouse was constructed at the entrance of the West Campus. This is able to be a access checkpoint to our campus!
Our goal at CHCA is to make sure we steward what we have in the best possible manner. Part of that is the visual of our facilites. This summer, we were able to replace the carpet runners outside on the Church Campus.
Recently, we moved to an intermediate school model to best accomodate our 5th and 6th grade students. With this, we were able to add lockers for the 5th grade students as they are getting familiar with the transition to middle school.
Over the last few years, we have been able to expand our staff. Expansion creates the need for more office and meeting spaces. Your generosity allowed us to make some renovations to create spaces for our administration.
One goal in our strategic objectives was enhancing the safety and security of our students and staff. This summer we were able to make multiple campus updates to do just that. One big step towards this goal was installing maglocks on each campus along with video entry to the Early Education Center.
A facelift was given to our West Campus gym. We repainted our gym to give a crisp, clean feel and included new signage to better highlight the accomplishments of our student-athletes.
Through the Legacy Fund, we were able to purchase and paint a new addition to the CHCA transportation fleet. This school bus will allow us to easily transport students between campuses and to school-related events.
We were able to continue updating our campus branding on the West Campus. This creates consistency and strengthens the safety and security across our campus.
We were able to make renovations around our football field. This update included a concrete platform and a ramp to make our facility more handicap accessible.
Through the Legacy Fund, we were able to build a walkway to create a safer access to our baseball facilities and visiting football teams.
We partnered with Cottage Hill Baptist Church to contribute to the installation of an LED wall, enhancing the overall experience of the numerous events we host for our students and families.
Through the Legacy Fund giving, we were able to update flooring in the West Campus offices and classroom.
We have added stairways to the medians in the West Campus parking lot to allow safe and convenient access to our campus facilities.
We were excited to be able to make a much needed upgrade to Deupree Hall. This upgrade included new paint, new subfloor, and new carpet. This is now an incredible space for our Fine Arts students. It now features a kiln, providing our students with the opportunity to learn the art of pottery.
