That’s until I saw the camp video! It was so heartwarming!
I also didn’t listen to my doctor when he told me that I should stop imagining so much.
My doctor said that I would catch a hot if I kept on watching the camp video. That’s the only time I didn’t listen to what my doctor told me… Except for the time when the doctor told me to brush my teeth or else all my teeth would fall out… That’s exactly what I want! Just imagine if I
Imagine if I would stop imagining! I don’t want to imagine what’s going to happen. On second thought, that would be nice, because instead of imagining I was in camp all day, I will actually have to be there. Bottom line: listen to your doctor/ATM!

A few weeks ago my cousin gave birth to a beautiful newborn boy (or as beautiful as a newborn could be) Anyway, It was an awesome Bris (and by that I mean the food was great) but one thing I couldn't stop thinking about from when I heard the long bearded man shout out "Kvatar" was 'Hey, the Mohel! Remember Zushe Der Mohel?' I was so, so very excited to remember our most-awesome survival director someone had to remind me to be quiet in the middle of the baby naming as without even realizing it I had started "Aibidoo la Aibidoo". (By the way, I kind of realized I was singing it when I heard someone in the far end of the Shul repeating after me.) As I was sitting by the Seudahs Mitzva and quietly (or really not so quietly) tapping the table twice followed by clapping once, one of

our dear counselors, who asked not to be mentioned by name, came over to me and whispered "now do it with your nose". As I sat and unsuccessfully tried to move my nose in different directions, I thought that although he doesn't really speak or understand English and my Hebrew is as good as my nose moving abilities, I should really interview good ol’ Zushe! For two weeks I tried to track him down. I looked in Eretz Yisroel and spoke to some chief army advisors, they said they had not heard from him in months. I traveled to Nepal and other middle eastern countries (Yes, I know I'm very dedicated to my job) and still no luck. Further down in Africa where I figured he might try his surviving methods - people couldn't even pronounce his name. I then bought a flight to Australia (Now the Newsletter Editor-in-Chief might

Next I went to Russia and although I didn't find Zushe Der Mohel, I found cheap Lechaim, made a Farbrengen and ended up sounding like Zushe and singing all his rants. Next I went to central Europe and made lots of money selling deodorants and stuff. My travel agent suggested I go to England, but I decided even he wouldn't try to survive the people there and so finally, a bit depressed, I came back to the States and more importantly to The Shechunah. As the deadline to send in articles was nearing, I realized I hadn't even thought about South America and with the jungles and
what-not there, what was I thinking?!? Sure enough in the bottom of the continent and the bottom of the world I landed in Argentina. The taxi driver at the airport knew exactly who I was talking about and told me something in Spanish that I didn't understand but decided it meant "everyone here loves that man". Anyway, he drove me to a city called Buenos Aires and there I found Zushe. After many hugs, a sword fight, a soccer game, a falafel eating contest (which I came in second) we sat down and I recorded our interview. It was longish, funnyish and I hardly understood a word. But I'll write it down and you'll be able to read the awesome interview with dear Survival Director (SDLGTLGTLZDMZNS) Zushe 'Der Mohel' Naymark. Interview in part 2 next month. See you then...

Reb Yehuda Schwartz, a Chabad Chassid in France, was a truck driver for a meat importing firm in Paris, owned by Daniel Amram, a fellow Chabad Chassid. One day, he was driving a large truck that his boss had just bought second-hand from a well-known used car company. Reb Yehuda sensed something was wrong as soon as he began the trip; the brakes and steering wheel seemed to be unusually stiff. He dismissed his fears, however, telling himself that it was probably because the truck had been refurbished before the sale. Near the end of the day, he was riding on a bridge high above a river, at about 50 miles per hour. As he approached a traffic light, he began to brake, but when he pushed on the pedal it just sank limply to the floor and stayed there. He had no brakes! There were cars in front of him. He tried downshifting, but he was going downhill too fast. In a second he would plow into the car in front of him. To the left was oncoming traffic; there was no time to lose. He had to act fast to avoid a disaster. Reb Yehuda grabbed the steering wheel, yelled “Shema Yisroel” and, at the last moment, turned the truck sharply to the right. The truck swerved crazily and shook, hit the curb and flew into the air. Yehuda’s seat belt held him down, but he bounced wildly as the truck plowed through the railing and arched over the water. In a second he would plunge into the cold, murky current far below -- he could almost feel the impact.
12
But the truck didn't fall; it just hovered in mid-air, and remained that way until help arrived. The next day, all the newspapers in France carried the picture of his truck, balanced like a seesaw on the edge of the bridge, halfway through the railing over the water. It was a miracle, but an expensive one. The city of Paris presented the truck owner, Daniel Amram, with the bill. Damages to the bridge were over ten thousand dollars, the towing was another thousand and the traffic ticket another thousand -- not counting the damages to the truck. Daniel was used to miracles and was thankful for this one too -- but now he was angry. That used-car dealer had signed and sworn that the truck was in perfect working order. Daniel took him to court. A week later, Daniel appeared in court for the pre-trial hearing accompanied by his lawyer. It wouldn't be an easy case. He would have to prove that the brakes were faulty when they bought the truck, but he was ready for a fight. The defendant entered the courtroom alone – an elderly, well-dressed gentile. He glanced at Amram as the charges were read. To everyone's surprise, after hearing the charges, the old man turned to the judge and announced that, because he saw the opponents were Chassidic Jews, he agreed to pay all damages, including the fine. Daniel was amazed; he had never expected

יו“ד שבט תשנ“ג יו קבלת המלכות Understanding the greatness of this special day requires an introduc on. As a ma!er of fact, it’s not just an introduc on; it’s our history; the history of Dor Hashviee; the history of every Chossid living in our genera on – the genera on of the Geulah. Our genera on begins when the Rebbe takes on the Nessius on Yud Shvat, 5711. The Rebbe says the famous Maamar of "Basi Legani", where He outlines the goal of our genera on. Our Avoida, being the seventh genera on in line from the Alter Rebbe, is to bring down the Shechina into the world, comple ng a dwelling place for Hashem in this physical world. From the years 5741-2 onwards, the Rebbe begins speaking constantly about Moshiach’s immediate arrival. Chassidim receive the feeling that Moshiach isn’t just something which was going to happen, it’s something happening now! In the years 5751-2 the Rebbe demands from Chassidim to publicize to the world at large about Moshiach’s coming. Chassidim come out with slogans such as “Moshiach is on his way” and “Get ready to greet Moshiach”.
Chassidim quickly realize what the Rebbe is referring to. The me has come to let everyone know who the Rebbe really is. The Rebbe is Moshiach, and we are not going to keep this informa on to ourselves, we’re going to let the world know about it. Within weeks, all the newspapers are talking about it; it’s the talk all over town; a massive sign is put up over Kingston Ave.; news sta ons start flocking into Crown Heights to pass the message onto the world. Naturally, all good things have opposi on. Some people felt that this method “isn’t healthy for Chabad”, “it will ruin our connec ons to the outside world”, “the world isn’t ready for it” etc. But, the Rebbe approves the spreading of His being Moshiach. Imagine! The Rebbe giving approval to what Chassidim have desired all the years – le1ng the world know who Moshiach is! This approval increased the efforts, and the slogans quickly changed to “Welcome Moshiach” with the Rebbe’s picture on it.
Chof Zayin Adar 5752. The Rebbe suffers [to our eyes] a stroke, limi ng His movement and ability to The Rebbe instructs Chassidim to publicize the speak. Star ng Simchas Torah 5753, the Rebbe begins coming out to the balcony to see the Chassidim, and encourages their singing of Yechi. This (almost) daily procedure infuses the Chassidim with the energy not to be influenced by any opposi on. With Yud Shvat approaching, Chassidim think of an idea to make a hook-up over the en re world, where everyone will merit to see the Rebbe, and His Chassidim accep ng Him as Melech HaMoshiach. Summary: When Avigdor the wealthy man came to the Baal Shem Tov, the Baal Shem Tov explained to him that we must thank Hashem for everything that we have, then he asked Avigdor to deliver a letter to Harav Tzadok - the Rabbi of his town.
Excuse me sir; Where can I find Harav Tzadok?
Why of course in the Shul!
After the visit Avigdor still thought that all of his money came from his hard work. Several years past and Avigdor lost all of his money. Just when he was about to sell his last coat, he found the letter that the Baal Shem Tov asked him to deliver to Harav Tzadok 16 years earlier, then he remembered the words of the Baal Shem Tov: "Thank Hashem for everything that we have..." "How didn’t I realize?" thought Avigdor.
Harav Tzadok is a special person! We are very happy that he was appointed to be our Rabbi this morning!
He was appointed this morning?
Yes, he was a poor man and he became really rich! He always thanks Hashem for what he has and that's why he succeeds! A letter from the Baal Shem Tov? He passed away!
Harav Tzadok?
Yes I know. Sorry I am a little late. I hope you forgive me.
Yes!
