Zine Archive Vol.2 Monsters and Plantscapes

In this archive we explore a series of different paintings that were done with acrylic paints.

Welcome to Chavazine Vol. 2

This edition, titled Monsters and Plantscapes, showcases a collection of acrylic paintings created on canvas paper.

The title is a playful twist on the phrase "nightmares and dreamscapes," blending eerie and dreamlike themes.

Many of these pieces originated from unfinished series and abandoned projects, now brought together to form a cohesive collection.

I invite you to wander through this captivating garden of imagination and explore the beauty within.

Monster:

An imaginary creature that typically large and ugly.

Plant:

a living thing that grows on Earth and has a stem, leaves, and roots

Landscape:

a view of the Earth's surface that can be seen from one place at one time

Plantscapes :

A play on Stephen King novel Nightmares and Dreamscape.

Plants with faces was a uncompleted series that I started with just drawing a basic shape that ended up looking like an alien plant. Because humans have a thing called Pareidolia which can cause people to interpret random images, or patterns of light and shadow, as face.

The other paintings were part of the world for it that I saw that fit in perfectly with these paintings.

Thank you for wandering through our garden.

We’re grateful for your visit and hope you found beauty among these creations. When we meet again, we’ll have the pleasure of unveiling what lies just beyond sight, waiting to be discovered.

Until next time.
