HAWK WEEKLY Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried Set Up Camp In Madison A new movie full of stars is currently being filmed less than a mile away from Chatham Day School by Wynn Waterstredt Recently, rumors have been spreading that a new movie full of stars is filming in and around Madison. The movie is called The Housemaid and is set to star Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. The movie is based on the book of the same name and follows a housemaid (Sydney Sweeney) who moves in with a rich but suspicious husband and wife (Amanda Seyfried) and realizes that things just don’t seem right. The movie will likely be a thriller and releases on December 25th, 2025. Because of all of the talk of the filming, the CDS press team decided to go right to the source. After a short walk, the team arrived at the house where filming is taking place. After taking some photos, a member of the production team agreed to speak to us. We talked to a production assistant named Paxton Dolan and asked if there was any information that he could give us about the movie. He confirmed that the movie is called The Housemaid and said that they will be filming at the house for one month. While he was not able to state whether they would be using other locations in the area, he confirmed that the house is beautiful and that the owners have been on the set from time to time. After speaking to him, we observed the large amounts of equipment for lighting and sound, we saw the transportation team, food trucks, and even heard the director yell action. Shortly thereafter, we were approached by a man. He politely informed us that we were “f****** up the scene” and that we had to move. Turns out they were filming at that moment and we could be seen through the window inside the house. For anyone wanting to go check out the set, the house's address is 158 Green Ave, Madison, NJ. The house truly matches the mansion that is described in the book and is priced by Zillow at around $3.8 million. You can’t miss it based on the number of people, cars, and vans around the set. And make sure to go see the movie when it comes out next December to see all of the local NJ sights!
