A HISTORY OF CHATEAU FEMALES……
A touch on just a few of our most constant and prolific cow families that feature not only in this years sale but over the last 40 years of “Chateau”. Several of females trace back to the first of the twelve purchases at “Streamvile Dispersal” in 1982, being from the “Olaf Jeulette” & “Olaf Hannah” cow lines, which are very prolific breeders that have consistently bred replacement females and sale bulls that have lasted four decades. Also included are descendants from live French imported cows being “Eclipse” & “Delicieuse” from the “Billabong Dispersal”. They have produced cattle with performance and substance and have regularly featured in pedigrees of top sellers on farm or at the National. We were also fortunate enough to be able to introduce the “Tonka” cow line that was imported from “Tanhill, UK” and retained by “Tanhill Australia” that was one of two cow lines not offered in their record-breaking sale in 1988.
In the black department one of our high selling matrons would be progeny from “Kaludabah Black Opal B52”.

Pick Of The Herd Flush
Opening the female draft we offer up full access to the heart of Chateau with a 'Pick of the Herd' flush. While offering what we consider the lead heifers regularly at the national or privately this will be the first time in 40 years that the breeders are fair game. The cow can be selected from the autumn or spring group with purchaser to supply semen or to select from one of our in-house sires.
