Students learn social responsibility
B
efore the Christmas break some students at Haldane Elementary School were busy collecting socks to donate to people in need. Three students spearheaded the project called “Warm Feet = Warm Hearts” as part of a social responsibiity program at the school and all students were invited to contribute. Sabrina Jacobson, who is a teacher at Haldane said over 200 pairs of new warm socks were donated to the Chase Hamper Society before Christmas and almost 400 pairs of socks were collected in total. “It was a very sucessful project,” said Jacobson.
