N: Whenever I read about Ouroboros, I think of the opening image of your novel: One who looks and sees into the coil of the universe and finds its limitlessness winding back into the spot behind his head.

J: Ha! Yeah, as I gaze into and devour my own asshole. The Sapphic Centipede.

N: Haha!

N: Yum!

J: Yes. Perhaps that’s why it starts after taking a shit.

J: We’re all tubes within tubes.

N: And ends with people laughing so hard they shit themselves

J: Yes. Very scatological.

J: I guess, in the end, we’re all excrement.

N: I prefer stardust, but I guess it’s all the same.

J: Stardust is the dung of the universe.

N: Haha... We can now earnestly say that the shit captured by Hubble is marvelous!

N: Cosmic shit floating through an infinite cesspool.

J: Suckcess! Ain’t life grand.

About the Authors JaNus is a writing and art collaborative between Jason Blasso and Niall Twohig.

Together, the two, at times, produce surreal and scatological works of depth and humor by translating their third eye through their brown eye. They create as naturally as they defecate and hope you do too.
