BUFFALO STATE COLLEGE FeedMore Foundation

Buffalo State Dining Services partnered with the FeedMore WNY Foundation to help offer dignity, hope and a brighter future for area residents. FeedMore WNY provides nutritious food, friendship, and skills training to WNY neighbors in need. The Buffalo State team donated more than 1,295 pounds of extra product for their Meals on Wheels and The Food Bank of WNY programs! Always looking to improve their Buffalo, N.Y., community, they love making their neighbors smile.

UNIV. OF WISCONSIN – LA CROSSE Comforting Tradition

It’s comforting to think that in a year where everything is different, some things do stay the same. Continuing with tradition, the on-site bakery at UW-La Crosse is again donating 50 homemade pies to the La Crosse Community Thanksgiving

keene state Thanksgiving basket Dinner. An annual tradition that began in 1982, everyone is invited to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at no cost. It will be a little different this year, as no one will be gathering. But dinners will be delivered, and it is still being run by volunteers – showcasing the best of their community. UWL Dining Services is humbled and honored to be a part of it once again.

KEENE STATE COLLEGE Heaping Baskets Full

Associates at Keene State Dining are eagerly participating in the 34th Annual KSC Thanksgiving Basket Drive. Keene State Dining associates traditionally fill from three to 10 heaping baskets with much-needed canned and dry goods. Last year, Keene State College collectively contributed more than 60 baskets of nutritious food to the Keene Community Kitchen, which helps families in New Hampshire’s Monadnock region.

UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH Farm to Families

The University of Pittsburgh and Chartwells teamed up with community organizations to distribute 5,000 food boxes to individuals and families across Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pitt Dining team initiated the community outreach and assisted in meal coordination and distribution 5000 BOXES distributed! to help those in need.

“Working with Sysco and other local partners and community groups has been an amazing opportunity to get support directly to our local communities,” says Senior Executive Chef Danielle Gallaway.

A partnership between the USDA and farmers, food processors and others, this program provides Americans with access to wholesome food during the COVID-19 national emergency. More than 1 million boxes have already been distributed.

SUNY PLATTSBURGH Blue Jean Benefit

Each fall semester, SUNY Plattsburgh Campus Dining associates donate $20 to wear jeans on Fridays knowing that all money raised will go to charities in surrounding areas throughout the school year.

SUNY Plattsburgh’s first week of November was filled with giving. Friday “Jean Day” money raised $250 for the Campus Food Pantry. They also donated $200 to Project Help, which provides food vouchers to local grocery stores for area families that are struggling. In addition, they purchased $350 in toys and clothing for county children in need. SUNY Plattsburgh Dining associates want to help make this holiday season happy for their neighbors! SUNY Plattsburgh donates big!
