Chartwell's PGA Junior League program is open to full golf members ages 10-13 (league age; as of July 31). The team will consist of up to 16 players who have either 1) actively participated in JLG in the past 2)participated in Operation 36 academy programming and are in level 3 or higher or 3) are "Certified Juniors" Our JLG program is designed to help player's learn to play the game and introduce them to a mildly competitive atmosphere Players should have the necessary skills to advance the ball with distance, chip, and putt before registering for JLG. The season will run from April-July with the potential for select players to advance to the post-season beginning in August Players are expected to be committed to all practices, on-course play days, and away game days (Game Schedule TBD) The registration fee will be collected by JLG at the time of registration to cover program fees & player kits (uniforms, hat, etc) A coaching fee will be collected at the beginning of the season, billed to your club account, to cover practice time and on-course play-days. TENNISCLINICS

$300 PER PLAYER, PER 2-WEEK SESSION, TUESDAY-FRIDAY

Young Stars

Ages 5-10, Players will be broken into groups based on skill level

Basic stroke mechanics are introduced along with proper movement and recovery Students will use cooperative game-based activities to rally back and forth with each other Students will learn match format and scoring The main goal is to develop body control using tennis-based activities and to have fun!

Junior Aces

Ages 11-14

Juniors will focus on developing correct swing patterns Consistency and footwork are emphasized The concept of using spin to control the ball will be introduced Match play will be introduced

Learn to play the fastest growing sport in the country! Pickleball combines the fun of tennis, badminton and ping-pong Through instructional drills, games and interactive activities, Chartwell’s racquets professional’s will teach juniors the fundamentals of pickleball including the rules of the game and match play Each participant registered for this week-long clinic will receive their very own pickleball paddle to keep serving up dinks and volleys once this fun clinic comes to an end! Sportsmanship and teamwork are essential in creating a fun, fair and educational environment for Chartwell’s juniors to enjoy Juniors are expected to conduct themselves in a kind and courteous manner, and in accordance with Chartwell’s rules and policies Junior programming privileges shall be suspended for any behavior that is deemed unsafe and/or disruptive Parents are encouraged to remind their juniors to seek assistance from a Chartwell team member whenever necessary

SUMMER PROGRAMMING SAFETY GUIDELINES

In the event that your child is not feeling well on any given program day, please notify the club and/or instructor as they will make arrangements for you to either be picked up or marked accordingly for our attendance records.

Juniors are welcome to bring their own equipment and supplies where applicable. This includes golf clubs, tennis/pickleball racquets, sunscreen, and water bottles for example.

Chartwell Golf & Country Club is committed to following all health and safety protocols set to reduce the spread of germs and illness. As these State and County guidelines are updated, summer programming protocols will be revised.

Summer programs are available to children and grandchildren of current Chartwell members. Membership classification restrictions may apply; please see page 2 for program eligibility. Registration opens on Saturday, February 8 at 10:00AM.

Please be aware that there are maximum capacities for camps and programs and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional participants will be added from the waitlist if/when space becomes available. Should you need to withdraw from a scheduled activity, please notify the Program Director, so that wait-listed juniors will have the opportunity to participate. To receive a refund, cancellations must be made thirty (30) days before the start of the scheduled program.
