The facility, which will be known as the MUSC Health Bluffton Medical Pavilion, will increase access to specialized care for those in the surrounding communities of Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties. The three-story 54,000-square-foot medical office building will be located at 700 Buckwalter Towne Blvd. Construction of this new facility will consolidate existing services in the Bluffton area into one location and provide new specialties for the community. The MUSC Health Bluffton Medical Pavilion will create nearly 60 new jobs, including 17 providers. Increasing the medical staff in the Bluffton market is a collaborative effort with MUSC Health and Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

Novant Health is building a new hospital and related facilities in Bluffton, SC, at the intersection of Buckwalter Parkway and Lake Point Drive. This includes a 50-bed hospital at 191,000 square feet with potential for expansion, a free-standing emergency department, and medical office building. The hospital, known as the Novant Health Bluffton Medical Center, is expected to open in 2028 and will offer a range of specialty care services.

5 The Novant Health Bluffton Emergency Department, which will be 10,000 square feet, will feature ten treatment rooms, including a dedicated trauma room; on-site advanced diagnostics (CT scans, X-rays, lab testing); board-certified emergency medicine physicians, skilled nurses and support staff, as well as ambulance-ready capabilities for seamless hospital transfers. Novant Health Bluffton Health Place, located next to the Novant Health Bluffton Emergency Department, will be a 40,000-square-foot medical office building. It will offer primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology (including an outpatient GI center), a multispecialty ambulatory service center, and future expansion space to meet evolving community needs.
