Cruising for Millennials 千禧世代啟航

You may think cruising is for the silver set but U by Uniworld, a new cruise concept launching later this year, is set to change all that. With two as-yet unnamed vessels in the works, the new river cruising brand is completely geared towards (and strictly limited to) travellers aged between 21 and 45, which is a departure from the usual Uniworld cruiser, who has an average age of 50. The brand’s two vessels will feature chic staterooms with bunk beds to help travellers keep down costs, and options to opt for a room mate to avoid single supplements. A series of insightful excursions, called U Time, will also cater to younger travellers, while onboard expect everything from Silent Discoes (when you listen to music on headphones) and wine-paired painting sessions, to cocktail classes and yoga.

Go Wild 野外歷奇

One of Asia’s most anticipated retreats, Shinta Mani Wild opens in December, nestled in the ancient rainforests of northern Cambodia. Designed by Bill Bensley as part of his new signature hotel collectio – Shinta Mani Wild – Bensley Collection offers a sublime tented camping experience in the Southern Cardamom National Park, one of the country’s most untouched and vital wildlife corridors. Arrive in style via a thrilling 350-meter long zip line before checking into one of 15 custom-built tents, nestled on the banks of a rushing river. The active can explore the complex network of waterways aboard a Bensley-designed expedition vessel, or help anti-poaching teams and local researchers, while those looking for respite will find it at the Boulders Spa, and with the sustainable and foraged cuisine of chef Kien Wagner.
