The students of Charlotte Latin School excel in many forums — in the classroom, on the stage, on our playing fields. The school fosters and celebrates their victories, but more importantly, it helps those students become leaders, now and in the years ahead. Our leaders aren’t just our team captains and our club presidents — they are every student who learns to command their own thoughts and to navigate the shifting seas of the 21st century.
Our students learn to be curious learners, conscientious thinkers, and resilient navigators. That happens because of the top-notch faculty and mentors who guide them, from Transitional Kindergarten to senior year — and because of the essential support of our families and friends.

WHAT IS THE LATIN FUND?
The Latin Fund is the foundation of Latin’s philanthropic model. It is used each year to directly support the people and programs that make Latin so special. Every fall, we invite trustees, faculty and staff, parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends to make an annual commitment.

The Schuster Family Hawk Challenge invites you to lead the way for the Latin Fund. Gifts and pledges made by December 31 will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $200,000.

Beyond the Latin Fund: Philanthropy at Latin

ENDOWMENTS AND CAMPAIGNS
The annual draw from our $58M endowment provides financial aid assistance, recognition awards for employees, and operating support. Strategic campaigns drive Latin’s long-term growth.
PILLARS OF LATIN
This society honors those who include Latin in their personal financial or estate plans, creating a legacy of support for future generations.
PARENT ORGANIZATIONS
Booster Club, Latin Arts Association, and Parents’ Council provide opportunities for fellowship and volunteerism that serve, support, and enhance specific areas and programs. The Latin Fund provides the budget for Booster Club and Latin Arts Association. Parents’ Council funds its own budget through a signature biennial event, Celebrate Latin, which will take place on January 31, 2026.
