A1 Page Design#1 Assignment Description Part#1: First on paper: create and draw 3 complex symbols Links to an external site. or pictograms Digital: take a good quality photo of your artwork and email to yourself Place the image into illustrator and turn the layer into a Template layer.

Trace with Pen tool only Black and White or Grayscale only Part#2 visit one of these websites and search for a font is interesting take an empty paper and draw guidelines are applying for the anatomy of type faces.

Personal Description I first started out by sketching the symbols that I wanted to create. I specifically wanted to to create symbols that were easily interpreted and got across a clear message. I ended up choosing “hot temperature, sleep, and no drinking” as my topics then adding my drawings into illustrator. I used the pen tool to create all of this and increased the stroke on the pen tool to give it a bolder look. For the typeface based I used in reference to my name, I drew inspiration from the typeface “NAU SEA” which is a very geometric type face. I was drawn to it and created a sketch that resembled it. Then I also use the pen tool to create an outline over the handwritten drawing that I created. I did not increase the stroke as much as with the symbols so it could have a more clean look.

Personal Description I first started off by sketching out the word narrative in the Capitalis Quadra script. I chose the word narrative because it related to romanesque art. I then traced it with the pen tool and added my description and symbol to the page.

Personal Description I utilized rulers and guidelines when created my sketch. I then imported it into illustrator and used the pen tool to outline each of the aligned shapes. I also added a fill to each of the letter to make the typeface bolder and correct to the Baskerville typeface.

I then brought my sketch into illustrator as well. From there I assembled my podcast typeface in accordance to the slab serif typeface. PERSONAL DESCRIPTION For this assignment, I chose to learn about Concave Typography and its importance.

The typeface “Concave Tuscan” is a great and widely popular style in relation to this.

It is stylized by bold and curved lifework combined with little to no capitalization variants. I traced my handwritten image based on the “Concave Tuscan” typeface with the pen tool to create my final product.

Personal Description For this project I created a typeface outline based on my favorite font, Anton Regular. I made sure to adhere to the bold and tring lines and typeface anatomy that was similar to the original typeface. A12 Page Design#12 Selecting and Combining Fonts Creatively Assignment Description For this weeks assignment I created a logo based on my current dance team called “Pressure Dancers”. I first started out by creating sketches based on this concept and I imported it into illustrator. I then traced these sketches and made multiple iterations. I utilized gradients and the pen tool to customize the logo. I am overall happy with my final product and it follows the criteria.

Personal Description Chapter 11 in textbook is about the selection and combination of diverse font selection to create hierarchy and balance for target audience. Design a a logo for a South Florida small business and variations to present for an imagined client through a pitching event.
