NATASHA’S FOUNDATION On a mission to create a future without food allergy

CELEBRATING NATASHA’S DAY 1 October is Natasha’s Day.

It’s a day to celebrate the legacy of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse and the change that has happened since her death in 2016. At just 15 years old, Natasha suffered a fatal allergic reaction after eating a baguette containing sesame while on a flight home from London to Nice. This year is particularly significant as it marks: 10 years without Natasha and 5 years of Natasha’s Law Natasha’s Law came into force on 1 October 2021, changing the way food prepacked for direct sale is labelled across the UK. Five years on, Natasha’s Day is a chance to celebrate how far things have come, while recognising the work still to be done.

THEIR MISSION Natasha’s Foundation is a charity working towards a future without food allergy. It was founded by Natasha’s parents, Tanya and Nadim EdnanLaperouse, following her death. What started as a campaign for change has grown into a charity working across research, education, awareness and advocacy. Their goal is simple:

To create a future without food allergy. From helping change food labelling through Natasha’s Law, to funding pioneering research and providing free allergy education, the Foundation is working to make a difference now and for future

generations.

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP 2027 We’re excited to announce that Simply Lunch will become a Corporate Partner of Natasha’s Foundation from January 2027. As a food to go business, we're proud to support an organisation whose work is so closely connected to food, safety and the people who enjoy it. Our partnership will give us the opportunity to support the Foundation's work and help raise awareness of food allergy across our own team and wider community. We'll be sharing more about what the partnership means for Simply Lunch and how our team can get involved in the new year.
