This past academic year, the Charleston Day School community once again demonstrated the extraordinary power of philanthropy. Through the generosity of Scorpion parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty & staff, and friends, we strengthened the foundation that allows every student to thrive. Support to the Gateway Giving Fund increased again over last year, further enabling the school to enrich the classroom and extracurricular experiences, invest in faculty excellence, update campus facilities and technologies, and capitalize on unexpected opportunities.
Equally inspiring was the breadth of Gateway Giving participation: 708 total donors, 81% parent giving,

and 100% giving for both our faculty & staff and the Board of Trustees.
The Fielding Property also received generous gifts to help renovate this historic property. As decisions are finalized in the coming months regarding all that Fielding will offer CDS and downtown Charleston, philanthropy will continue to play a critical role.

Another facility project enhanced the kindergarten playground. The school removed the brick seating around the edges of the K playground to expand the space and provide more movement area.
