How to apply
1. Apply online or via an international agent
You can apply online at apply.csu.edu.au

Attach the following documents:
• scanned verified copies or scanned original copies*, together with English translations, of your higher secondary school results and/or your academic transcripts for each year of tertiary study
• scanned verified copy or scanned original copy* of your Certificate of Completion for all tertiary study canned verified copy or scanned original copy* of any other official certificates, such as short courses and diplomas
• evidence of your English language proficiency results, for example IELTS or TOEFL scanned verified copy or scanned original copy* of your passport.
* If you are an international applicant, you can submit scanned verified copies or scanned original copies of all your official documentation, except for the courses listed below:
Bachelor of Teaching (Primary)
• Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary)
• Master of Teaching (Primary)
• Master of Teaching (Secondary)
• Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology)(Hons)
Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology
• Master of Clinical Psychology

Some courses require additional documentation such as a portfolio, research proposal, questionnaire, referee reports and/ or verification of your employment details. You should check the course description on the online course brochure for additional documents that may be required.
Note: Charles Sturt University does not charge an application fee. Upload your supporting documents when completing your online application.
Applying via a Charles Sturt Univerity international education agent
Charles Sturt University has formal agreements with international recruitment agents (education agents) in Australia and overseas. These representatives are trained to assist with:
• comprehensive information about Charles Sturt (campuses, study options, courses, fees, application process, etc.)
• submitting an online Application for Admission form to Charles Sturt, including supporting documentation visa applications to the Australian Government.

Applying for credit
The university does not expect students to repeat study completed to an acceptable standard at a recognised university or college, or to study subjects in which they are already competent because of work or other experience. You should indicate on your Application for Admission if you are applying for credit.
To have your application assessed for credit, you will need to provide a certified copy in English of your academic transcript, a description of the grading system and a description of all the subjects completed, taken from the institution’s official handbook. The university will advise you of your credit once the assessment has been finalised.

TAFE-articulated programs
If you are applying for a TAFE-articulated program, check the course web page at study.csu.edu.au/courses for details of the approved TAFE qualifications required for entry. You may need to provide documentation from your TAFE institution to support your application.
2. Offer
If you meet the entry requirements, you will receive a formal Offer of Admission (provisional, conditional or unconditional) by email. This will provide information on the course of offer, starting date and payment of fees. Make sure you have read and understood the details of your Offer of Admission before you commence the process of accepting.
All students may be required to have an interview assessment to determine whether you are a genuine temporary entrant (GTE) to Australia. For more information, visit immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/ visa-listing/student-500
As part of the GTE requirements, you will be required to undertake a GTE assessment. The GTE form will be emailed to you once you’ve successfully submitted your application. Information on how to formally accept Charles Sturt’s Offer of Admission will be provided in your Offer of Admission.
3. Accepting your offer and paying
Once both you and Charles Sturt Admissions are satisfied you have completed all of the additional requirements, you can accept your Offer of Admission by signing and dating the Acceptance of Offer letter and returning it to the Charles Sturt Admissions Office by the due date shown on your Offer of Admission. Please be sure to read all web pages referred to in your offer, including our refund policy and details about accommodation on campus.
The final step in accepting your Offer of Admission is to send payment of your required tuition fee (as outlined in your Offer of Admission or found at study.csu.edu.au/international/apply/feescosts) and mandatory visa-length Overseas Student Health Cover. 4. Once you have accepted – the next steps
Log on to the Charles Sturt University website student.csu.edu.au
To access the many Charles Sturt services available, you will need a login ID and password. To obtain your login ID and password you need to visit the website and click on the link ‘Activate my Login’. This information provides you with details on how you can ‘get online’ with Charles Sturt University, whether you are currently considering a university offer or you have already accepted a place and are ready to get started.
Charles Sturt University Orientation
A thorough orientation is essential for successful study at Charles Sturt. The time between accepting your offer and the start of your first session is the perfect time to access Charles Sturt’s online orientation to make sure you’re ready to start your study at Charles Sturt University.
If you are studying on campus in Australia, you will also have a full Orientation program the week before classes start. This will give you the chance to start meeting academics and other students in your course, take part in social activities and find out more about your course requirements. csu.edu.au/division/student-services/student-skills/ orientation

What documents to bring to Australia
Before you obtain your visa, start at Charles Sturt or find work in Australia, we recommend that you put together a file or folder containing all your relevant important documents. It would also be helpful to obtain and include in this folder the required official English translations of these documents. Include the following:
• valid passports and student visa (and photocopies)
• Offer of Admission and other material sent to you by Charles Sturt University
• original IELTS (Academic) test results
• certified copies of personal papers, including academic transcripts and any educational or work qualifications you have already completed
• identification papers such as a birth certificate, driver’s licence from your own country, proof of citizenship, international driver’s permit, marriage or change of name certificate (where relevant) documents relating to any prior study
• credit cards
• medical records, immunisation records and school/university records of all accompanying family members
• marriage certificate if your spouse is accompanying you
• receipts for goods (e.g. computers, cameras) you may bring with you to Australia, to assist with assessment of customs duty / sales tax.
Remember, you will need translations in English of all documentation.
