FENCE POST TYPES

ALUMINIUM Each aluminium post comes with a post cap, base plate, base plate cover and fixing kit to suit where fencing is situated.

The post heights for fixing onto a solid or wooden surface range from 40cm to 220cm.

Post heights above 220cm are available and are for use when sunken into the ground.

The posts can be used for both straight runs and corners. Any angle posts are also available to purchase for areas on an angle.

Aluminium posts and gate frames are available in black and grey.

Yes, our aluminium and composite posts have slots down each side so you can use them both on straights or corners.

The gates can be locked from both inside and out and are supplied with 3 keys.

All of the Charles and Ivy’s range of premium fencing can be paired to match with our high-grade aluminium driveway gate frames to create an elegant, versatile, durable and ecofriendly driveway gate. Our gates are made bespoke in the UK to your required dimensions and will be delivered fully assembled to your chosen design.

For non-automated gates, there is a key lock handle with a stopper to hold the gates in place. If the gates are to have an automation system fitted, the automated system will act as a locking mechanism.

Are your products easy to install?

Are gates easy to install?

All of our products are simple to install, please find our step by step video guides on how to install via our website.

Yes, our gates are easy to install by a competent tradesperson or DIY’er. Ensure the surface that the gate hinges are fixing to are solid and square to the ground, If fixing to a freestanding post, ensure the post is sunk 60cm into the ground and fixed securely.

Do gates come assembled?

Yes, all of our gates come assembled and match with any of our fence collections. Driveway Gates are available from a width of 120cm to 480cm and any height from 60cm to 210cm.

Can gates be opened inwards and outwards?

Yes, gates can be fitted to open inwards or outwards and hung with hinges on the right or left.

What is included?

The slats and screen you have chosen, gate frame (to your chosen dimensions), handle and hinges.

Our gate frames are available in Black and Grey.

The slats that you have chosen are fully assembled by us into the gate frame (to your chosen width dimensions).

We will deliver to you the fully assembled gate - our gate handle is to be fitted by you after your gate has been installed into position.

Do you supply fencing to match the gates?

Can the gates be locked?

Do you provide gate automation kits?

For non automated gates, there is a key lock handle with a stopper to hold gates in place. If gates are to have automation fitted, the automation system will act as a locking mechanism.

No, however our gates are suited to fit all automation kits.

What is the finish on the gate frame?

The gate frame is manufactured using marine grade aluminium. The frames are then treated and finished with a high quality powder coating (black or grey colour), ensuring a robust and durable finish to withstand all weather conditions.

What colour are the gate frames?

Yes, we have matching fencing for all of our gates, these are available in different heights and configurations to suit your requirements.

Can gates be fitted to our posts?

Yes, we have gate posts that are available to purchase with our gates when you have no pillars to fix to. We will send you the posts to suit your chosen gate. Note: Gate posts must be sunken 60cm into the ground.

Are hinges and handles included?

Yes, we include high quality hinges and lockable handles with all of our gates. There is an option to upgrade your handles.

Is there a warranty?

We’re confident in the quality and durability of our products. That’s why we offer an industry-leading 20 year warranty on our Composite products and 15 year warranty on our Aluminium products.

What is the returns policy?

We cannot refund for the gate you have ordered, the reason for this, is that the gate has been made bespoke to your dimensions. We will however, replace any parts that are defective.

We deliver all orders over £125 free of charge within 3-10 working days of ordering, using our own in-house delivery
