Air-Conditioning Our air conditioning system is centralised and is switched between heating and cooling depending on the season.

Balconies Please do not hang clothes or towels on the outside of your balconies. Balcony lights are automatically switched on and off.

Do Not Disturb When putting the ‘Do not Disturb’ sign outside your door please note that should this not be removed by 13.00 maid service will not be provided for that day.

Key Card For your own safety and security kindly always keep key card at hand as this might be requested by management.

Lighting The lighting and the air conditioning in the room only operates when the key card is inserted in the energy slot situated at the entrance of the room.

Maintenance Should any equipment be out of order please contact Front Desk immediately.

Non-Smoking Hotel Please note that we are a non-smoking hotel. It is strictly prohibited to smoke in rooms and public areas. In doing this you are at risk of incurring a € 250 fine.

Room Cleaning Each room is cleaned daily. For a longer stay your linen will be changed every 3 days. For the request of a daily change or to make your stay more comfortable, including extra soap, towels, please get in touch with Front Desk. Towels which are not found in the room will not be replaced by the room attendant.

Room Extras The below extras are available upon request and subject to availability • Sewing Service • Shoe Polish Service • Internet PC at a refundable deposit of €100 • Cot for an infant

Room Category Should you wish to change your room category at any point during your stay, please contact our Front Desk.

Please note that this depends on availability and comes at an extra cost.

Wake Up Calls Please request these from our Front Desk or you can also set it up on your TV.

Strand Café

Breakfast in not included in your room package. However, you will be able to find Breakfast options at Strand Café. The cafeteria offers a large choice of Danish pastries, light snack, hot and cold drinks available all day at your convenience.

We invite you to visit our café and savour our varied selection of coffees, snacks and delicatessen.

Grana - Pizza, Pasta, Grill

Grana totals 2 restaurants in Malta, which can be found in Gzira, at 115 The Strand Hotel & Suites and in Valletta, at the Cumberland Hotel. All hotel guests are entitled to 10 % off their bill when dining at Grana restaurants. Discover our menu and opening hours on www.granamalta.com.

Car Rental

Please contact Front Desk for current rates and availability.

Doctor

This service can be arranged through the Front Desk. Fees will have to be settled with the visiting practitioner.

Luggage

After check-out at 11.00 your luggage may be stored in the Luggage Room found at reception.

Ice

For your own convenience you can ask for some ice at Strand Café.

Payments

Credit terms cannot be extended to guests unless supported with a credit card imprint or cash deposit at our Front Desk. All major credit cards are accepted. For early morning departures please settle any pending bills the night before checking out.

For any transport requirement please contact our Front Desk.

All hotel guests are entitled to a complimentary entrance at Aqualuna Beach Club, located on The Strand.

Banking Services

Banks are open from Monday – Saturday between 08.30 and 12.30 and within walking distance, on The Strand.

If you are looking for a souvenir to take home, or some convenience shopping during your stay, kindly visit our 24/7 shop located aside the 115 The Strand Hotel & Suites entrance.

Airport buses routes pass close by to the hotel. For further information on routes and timetables in order to plan your journey please contact Front Desk or use the website www.publictransport.com.mt.

Fire Precautions

In case of a fire in your room leave immediately, closing the door behind you and notify Front Desk • Do not use the elevators • Use the nearest exit and follow instructions found on the evacuation plan hung behind the room door and near the elevator at Strand Café.

Safety Deposit Box

We recommend the use of this room facility, as the Hotel Management is not liable for the loss of any valuables at the hotel.

Departure

The departure time is at 11.00. If you would like to extend your stay or depart later, please contact reception to check availability and additional charges.

Drinking Water

Tap water is not drinkable.

Electricity

The voltage in Malta is 240V (50 cycles). Continental plug/s are provided in the room.
