Ahh, a college student’s time-off - the best time of year. The next three months are filled with decorations, food, family, fun, and more food. Although there is no time-off for Halloween, college students find the time (generally an entire weekend) to dress up with their friends, and go trick-or-treating… or something like that. But then comes Thanksgiving.

A day filled with carbs, turkey, carbs, apple cider, carbs, and of course, giving thanks. What’s not to love? Lastly, the holiday season, the festive season, the season of presents and snow! Even though the majority seem to enjoy Halloween a little more than the holiday season, just remember that you actually get time off for one - not the other. Cherish the moments of home-cooked meals and hugs, not candy from strangers and people in clown costumes. Sorry - too soon? MIC’s Fall Fest Preview

Starting at 3 p.m. in the Bixler/Gerber Quad, there will be food, games, and fun. During this time, the co-sponsors will have tables in the quad.

Co-sponsors include: Alpha Lambda Delta, UNH Pride, Kappa Kappa Psi, Marine Bio Club, Caribbean Student Association, Audio Engineer Society, Alpha Phi Omega, MOGAllize, and WHNU. At 6 p.m., the live music will begin in the German Club. Acts include Save Face, Owel, Laura Stevenson, and Broadside.

The show is free to students who have their QR codes, and five dollars for guests .

They either watch movies or work on homework, while the coaches typically watch film and strategize for the following day’s matchup.

Once the team arrives, it is her job to make sure the players know their room assignments, and that everyone gets all of their belongings off the busses.

When everyone is settled, the athletes typically go to team meetings until dinner.

This is Ferrucci’s time to prepare for game day. Her final task of the day is completing room checks to make sure the athletes are in their rooms

It focuses on smaller nonprofits which are typically independent of government administrations.

“It’s a transformative education experience for their leader or high potentials in the organization,” said Kuntze.

There are 3,000 non-profits within a 25 mile radius of the university, according to Kuntze. Many of these organizations have executives or directors that have little business training, and many that do only have it in a very narrow skill set. The goal of the institute is to provide them with the tools they need to run a successful non-profit from a business standpoint.
