John Horden, a missionary of the Church of England (Anglican) journeyed by canoe from Moose Factory to Missanabie, a distance of more than 500 miles. In Ontario alone,thereare15,000internationalnurseswaitingto beprocessedbytheCollegeofNurses.Ifwecanget thosepeoplecredentialedandworking,itwouldease theburdenonthosenurseswhohavealreadygivenso muchofthemselvesandfeelingburnout.Additionally,weshouldconsiderthecreation ofanationalhealthcarehumanresourcedatacollection and coordination agency, and provide panCanadian licensure for health professionals.
