Christmas Message from the Mayor
A
s we come together at the close of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the strength, pride, and sense of community that make Chapleau such a special place to call home. 2025 was a remarkable year for our community. Events such as the Chapleau Pike Ice Fish Derby, Carnival Weekend, Canada Day celebrations, the Gold Rush Nationals Drag Races, and the Fall Fair were tremendous successes and continue to grow year after year. These events showcase the best of Chapleau — our volunteers, local organizations, businesses, and residents who come together to create memorable experiences for all ages. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and enthusiasm. Your commitment is what makes these events not only possible, but truly exceptional. As the holiday season approaches, I encourage you to take time to enjoy family and friends, and to reach out to those in our community who may need extra support. With winter upon us, please travel safely and take care on the roads. On behalf of Council, I extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who helps make Chapleau a vibrant and welcoming community. May your holidays be filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness, and may the New Year bring good health, happiness, and continued success. Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy New Year.
