and Rex Goudie are sure to have everyone up on their feet on Saturday July 15th, 2006. This duo is one of the three featured performers for this yearâs Festival which will take place from
July 12th to the 16th. After all 551 eligible ballots were counted, it was obvious that Melissa OâNeil and Rex Goudie were the favorites of the residents of Chapleau with a total of 231

votes. In second place was Stompin Tom with 137 votes followed by Amanda Marshall and Tom Cochrane. Thursday and Friday nights performances are expected to be a real treat as well. La VolĂ©e dâCastors, on the heels of the release of their fifth album Yâa du Monde Ă Messe, will be our first performers for our Thursday night concert. In 2005 they
were nominated for a Juno Award for Best Roots and Traditional Album. Lawrence M a r t i n a n d Ve r n Cheechoo, winner of a Canadian Aboriginal Award, will be ending our Fridayâs events with what is sure to be an unforgettable concert. Martin and Cheechoo have been nominated for Best Music of Aboriginal Canada for their album
âThe Right Combinationâ, an album of catchy tunes and ballads. As in previous years we are expecting a large crowd to be delighted by our Fiddle and Step Dancing compe-titions Festival passes will be on sale as of March 20th, 2006. They are priced at $35 before June 5th at which time the price will increase to $40.
