The history of shopping has always held the use of both consumer and selling of goods. It has existed in some kind of form dating back to 9000 BC when trading amongst villages was established. Retail stores were created as a place to sell, trade and consume for people of the public. These stores provided a means to find items which you need in order to survive your kind of lifestyle. Nowadays stores still hold the same position but have now have become a popular destination for those wanting to get out of the house no matter if they actually need something for themselves.

In this report it will deconstruct the use of time it takes to shop for in-person shopping. It will discuss where shoppers time is being spent and how it compares to other activites as well as what consumers wish they had more time for.
