To every little reader, This story is for you. Even the smallest gift can make someone smile!
.......By the Author

It was a cold, snowy winter in the wood, The trees stood bare, as frozen as they could. The animals worried; food was scarce, Each passing day brought a chilling harsh.

In a cozy little burrow, snug and deep, Rabbit sat with turnips he'd managed to keep.

"Hmm," he thought, "I have enough to share, Maybe someone else needs a little care."

As the snow cast its silvery glow, Rabbit hopped softly through the snow. One turnip he carried, held tight in his paws, A gift for Deer without applause.

"Deer might be hungry," Rabbit did say, "I’ll leave this here and hop away."

With a soft little thud by Deer’s door, Rabbit left the turnip and said no more.

Later, Deer stepped outside, And there lay the turnip, her eyes opened wide.

"Oh, a gift! How sweet, how kind! But Hedgehog might need it more than I find."

Deer carried the turnip with careful care, To Hedgehog’s burrow through the frosty air.

Hedgehog woke up to a surprising sight, A turnip sitting in the soft morning light.

"What a thoughtful gift!" Hedgehog said, With happy thoughts inside his head.

"But what about Fox ? Could she need it more ? I’ll take it to her by her den door."

Fox lay curled in her den so tight, When she heard a knock in the middle of night.

Opening her door, she was surprised to see, A turnip waiting as kind as could be.

"How generous! Who could it be? Perhaps Rabbit could use this gift from me." She wrapped it

up with gentle care, And stepped outside in the chilly air.

Fox trotted softly through the snowy white, Her bushy tail swayed in the pale moonlight.

She placed the turnip by Rabbit’s door, And scampered away, saying no more.

Later that evening, Rabbit did spy, The turnip has come back, he let out a cry!

"The turnip returned! Oh, what a surprise, A circle of wonder beneath snowy skies."

Deer, Hedgehog, and Fox soon appeared, Sharing stories of the turnip they held dear.

Each had passed it on with gentle care, To show their friends that kindness was rare.

A simple turnip, passed along, Had grown into a friendship strong. As snowflakes danced in the frosty air, They learned that kindness is beyond compare.

Rabbit smiled, his heart aglow, "A circle of kindness, as pure as the snow."

They gathered close by the fire’s glow, Sharing stories soft and low, Laughing gently as the night moved slow.

Even in winter’s coldest sting, A small act of love can warmth bring.
