Validity: 14 days Period of completion: 60 days (refer to down payment upon confirmation of order) All dimensions are subjected to final site measurement Variation order: Any alteration not specified in the quotation will be issued under a variation order followed by a Variation Order (VO) invoice. Payment Terms: THE CONTRACT SUM RM Stage I upon confirmation of project 1 service Stage II Progress Claim (Installation of fixtures & fittings) Stage IIi Progress Claim (Completion of fixtures & fittings) Stage IV Final Payment (Full completion of all works) a. Services I works shall commence upon receipt of payment of each phase except for the final phase. The time frame of work has been agreed upon by both. b. All outstanding amounts must be paid within TEN (10) working days after the handover site (excluding V.O. period). Shall there be any delay to the handover site, payment must still be made within TEN (10) working days of the originally contemplated handover date confirmed by the Client Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. c. Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. do not hold any responsibility for the delay of work from the agreed time frame that is a result of payment issues. d. Payment not made within the mentioned time frame will carry interest at the rate of 2% per month (30 days) until full payment is made. e. The cheque should be crossed “A/C Payee” and made payable to Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. f. Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. shall notion any circumstances or for any reason whatsoever be liable for any losses, damages, cost, expenses, including without limitation, direct, indirect, special or consequential damages or economic losses arising from any such failure to perform. 6. Design l Works l Service Disclaimer Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. cannot be held responsible for designs, works and services that may later be undesirable or cause inconvenience. The client understands that all designer/contractor interprets the client’s requirements and wishes. However, any design/works that are not done according to the agreement as quoted shall be rectified according to Malaysian Hydro Associations. 7. Project Access The client will provide Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. with access to the projects and all information that may be required to complete the project. Failure to do so by the Client provides Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. the right to terminate service (with a written notice) and collect outstanding balances. 8. Termination of Service a. Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. has the right to terminate or suspend all works and services upon written notice, if the Client fails to make payment default in accordance with the mentioned terms and conditions herein. b. Termination shall be without prejudice to any and all other rights and remedies of Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. and Client shall remain liable for all. c. Within FIVE (5) working days of termination of our services for any reason, Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. shall submit the Client an itemized invoice for any fees or expenses accrued under this quotation. The Client, upon payment of accrued amounts of the invoice, shall thereafter have no further liability or obligations whatsoever for any further fees or expenses arising here under. 9. Project Time Frame & Fees for Extra Service a. Reasonable time for drawings is to be discussed & agreed upon by both parties. b. Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. and Malaysian Hydro Associations. c. The estimated time frame for the entire project time frame inclusive of the revision period will be a maximum of TWO (2) MONTHS starting from the appointment. d. If the project exceeds the estimated time frame, an additional minimum fee of RM50 per month will be charged as consultation fees only excluding reimbursement claims & site visit charges. Subject to the project & remaining job scope. 10. Site Visit, Inspection & Travelling Site visit or inspection services that require Archicraft Sdn. Bhd. to travel by air (overseas, Sabah & Sarawak) are subjected to claim all. 11. Acknowledgement of Quoted Fees, Terms & Conditions a. Upon receiving payment according to the percentage stated above will acknowledge that you have read & agreed on our job scope of design/work/services, fees, terms & conditions. This quotation shall be treated as a contract legally binding once it is signed. b. English language wordings shall prevail and be used as contract terms should any discrepancies arise due to translation.

SELF REFLECTION
This assignment gave me the chance to learn more about the complexities involved in producing intricate drawings for a variety of schemes, including lighting looping, floor finishes, furniture layout, and laying out. One of the most important things I learned and put into practice was the UBBL (Uniform Building By-Laws) regulations, specifically UBBL 172, which highlights how important it is to clearly mark story exits and make sure that nothing is in the way of them, including decorations, furniture, or equipment. It also emphasized the need for exit signs to be illuminated when the building is occupied. Other than that, for UBBL 227 fire alarms a two-stage alarm system must be installed in all buildings and locations with a gross floor area (excluding parking lots and storage areas) of more than 9290 square meters or a height of more than 30.5 meters. This system must have an alert signal (intermittent signal) in the nearby area and an immediate evacuation signal (continuous signal) in the affected area. Designing a setting with a rustic, natural, or cozy vibe is intended to make visitors feel at ease. Thus, concrete and wood are the primary materials I chose to use. Wood may add a feeling of coziness and warmth to a space, especially if it has warm tones like amber or reddish brown stains. Because of this, areas where comfort is needed have a warm and pleasant feel. Apart from that, many finishes embrace the flaws and textures of wood while preserving its organic appearance. Spaces have a more rustic or earthy feel when finished with matte or low-sheen wood, which highlights the natural qualities of the wood. Smooth, polished surfaces in concrete frequently add to a contemporary, minimalist look. They are ideal for modern designs since they exude a feeling of clarity and simplicity. Furthermore, because they reflect light, polished or light-colored concrete floors can give the impression that a space is larger and brighter. Rooms may appear larger and cozier as a result of this effect, which can improve the sense of space. When these two materials are combined, visually arresting flooring can be created that give a room appeal and personality. This combination makes it possible to create imaginative borders, patterns, or designs, which improves the overall aesthetic appeal. In addition to offering warmth, wood can also help control temperature because of the thermal mass of concrete. In a place, this combination can provide both comfort and energy economy.
SELF REFLECTION
In designing and constructing our arts and culture space, I made a deliberate choice to prioritize sustainability, green design, and efficiency, with a primary focus on using wood as the main material. This decision was rooted in a commitment to reducing our environmental impact and creating a space that reflects our values of responsible resource use. The design of the space incorporated passive strategies to maximize energy efficiency. For instance, the use of large windows and strategically placed openings allows for ample natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours and minimizing energy consumption.To enhance efficiency and minimize waste, I explored the use of prefabricated wood components. This approach not only reduced construction time but also resulted in less on-site waste generation compared to traditional construction methods.In the areas of space, I considered planting native trees and vegetation to enhance biodiversity. This approach promotes ecological balance and aligns with broader sustainability goals

MATERIALS
INTRODUCTION The Sultan Abdul Samad Building is a late-19th century building located along Jalan Raja in front of Dataran Merdeka and the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building originally housed the offices of the British colonial administration, and was known simply as Government Offices in its early years. In 1974, it was renamed after Sultan Abdul Samad, the reigning sultan of Selangor at the time when construction began. The building houses both the offices of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia. It once housed the superior courts of the country: the Federal Court of Malaysia, the Court of Appeals and the High Court of Malaya. The Federal Court and the Court of Appeals had shifted to the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya during the early 2000s, while the High Court of Malaya shifted to the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex in 2007.

The measurement of the travel distance to an exit shall be made on the floor or other walking surface along the natural path of travel, beginning 0.300 meters from the furthest point of occupancy, curving around any obstructions with 0.300 meters clearance therefrom, and ending at the storey exit. When measuring a staircase, the measurement must be done in the direction of the trend.

(1) Storey exits and access to such exits shall be marked by readily visible signs and shall not be obscured by any decorations, furnishings or other equipment. (2) A sign reading "KELUAR" with an arrow indicating the direction shall be placed in every location where the direction of travel to reach the nearest exit is not immediately apparent. (3) Every exit sign shall have the word "KELUAR" in plainly legible letters not less than 150 millimetres high with the principal strokes of the letters not less than 18 millimetres wide. The lettering shall be in red against a black background. (4) All exit signs shall be illuminated continuously during periods of occupancy. (5) Illuminated signs shall be provided with two electric lamps of not less than fifteen watts each.

INDIVIDUAL REFLECTIONS Assignment 2 in my architecture degree has significantly enhanced my technical sketching skills. An important lesson I've learned is the need for enhanced caution and meticulous attention to detail in every working sketch. This project brought attention to the need of precision and thoroughness in architectural work by demonstrating how even the smallest error may have a big impact. The task astounded me by introducing me to a selection of drawing requirements and brand-new symbols. My visual vocabulary grew as a result of managing these complications, and I realized how important adaptation is in the rapidly evolving field of design. The realization that technical drawing is a lifelong learning process with evolving standards and symbols was eye-opening. I'm now more willing to pursue more education in my field because to this knowledge.The study also emphasized the value of line weight, text alignment, and the creation of legend symbols. These elements stood out as being crucial for conveying the drawings' intended message effectively. The project focused on the importance of graphic representation in conveying the flow, direction, and idea behind each drawing in order to make each painting clear and understandable to others. An essential component of learning was researching the UBBL criteria and the building bylaws. Architectural solutions that are safer, more responsible, and compliant with the law are made possible by knowing and following these guidelines. This project component applied theory to the real world by focusing on the impacts of architectural decisions. As a whole, assignment 2 was a rigorous workout that helped me get better at technical drawing. By acquainting myself with different industry standards and terminologies, it helped me become more adaptable. The experience demonstrated how architectural methods require ongoing change. Along with improved technical skills, I also bring with me a deeper understanding of the responsibility that architects have to adhere to regulations and effectively communicate through their ideas as I move forward. Other than that my IAD4 project, the design philosophy itself particularly spoke to me and taught me the importance of taking into account and finding a balance between the preservation of regional heritage and coexisting with current, organic designs.

REFLECTION These classes have helped me to comprehend the value and importance of construction detailing and drawing traditions. My perspective has radically transformed as a result of this life-changing encounter. I've come to understand that working drawings can be beautiful as well as functional, serving a practical purpose. I now know that the secret to making outstanding and compelling drawings is to pay close attention to detail, keep things neat, and make sure everything is consistent throughout. Throughout this module, producing comprehensive floorplans required a strong attention to detail and a dedication to precision. It requires a deep comprehension of measurement methods, architectural principles, and the capacity to convert abstract concepts into detailed, measurable designs. I'm sure that the many hours I've spent honing my drafting techniques and learning design software have strengthened my foundation as a potential architect. Completing these exercises has improved my technical skills, but it has also encouraged creativity and problem-solving. I now know how to tackle every floorplan as a different kind of puzzle, taking user experience, aesthetics, and functionality into account. This way of thinking has not only helped me become a more adaptable designer, but it has also taught me how important it is to combine creativity and pragmatism in the architectural profession. In addition, the process of developing thorough floorplans has helped me to develop discipline and dedication, which has strengthened my work ethic. I am used to completing my work by the deadline and to the highest possible standards. I have no doubt that my capacity to adapt and my dedication to this will help me meet the demands of an exciting and hectic internship. I am sure that the abilities and information I have acquired from these modules will provide me a strong basis as I get ready to start my internships and my future job. Since it has given me the confidence to adjust quickly and perform well in real-world job environments, I am appreciative of the chance to practice and hone my talents under every lectures tutelage.
