Happy 90th anniversary to the widely popular Arizona grocer, Bashas’! To celebrate nine successful decades of prosperous business, Bashas’ attempted and broke a Guinness World Record! It took 14,400 doughnuts and over 80 hours to make it happen, but Bashas’ successfully created the Largest doughnut mosaic. The grocer also said it took:

• 48,160 ounces of icing • 31,488 ounces of a combination of water, sugar, yeast, fats, and eggs • 19,200 ounces of flour • 5,400 lbs. of iced doughnuts • 660 bakery sheet pans • 45 rolls of butcher paper

Chamber hires new business development specialist
Paula Weber is originally from Minnesota but moved to Phoenix with her family in July of 1976. The Valley has been her home ever since. Paula is married and has four children and four grandsons. She loves dogs, Mexican food, and the Dallas Cowboys. Her true passion is her family and having raised four kids, Paula understands the importance of community and knows that building relationships within the community is crucial for its success. She worked for 22 years in her family-owned travel agency and is looking forward to her new role with the Chandler Chamber!
