That’s also why we’re the only private Catholic school for young men in this region that offers a dedicated 6th to 8th grade middle school. Educating in family spirit is a key principle of a Catholic Marianist education designed to develop your emotional and spiritual well-being. Chaminade’s family spirit is one of the most noticeable and talked-about differences from other local private schools. Led by student House Captains, each of the five Houses offers leadership and mentoring opportunities, and regular access to adults in a comfortable, safe environment. You’ll find our House System and family spirit help us develop our faith in God and faith in each other.

Esto Vir – “be a man” – is a rallying cry used throughout our school community to inspire positivity. It’s more than a motto, it’s a commitment we instill in every young man as they travel their individual journeys. You’ll come to understand the true definition of “man” is one of strength and courage, sensitivity and inclusiveness, responsibility and obligation, peace and justice, patience and faith. Chaminade men intuitively understand and instinctively act in keeping with the noble definition that is meant by Esto Vir.
