CHAMINADE PACE PROGRAM
PREPARING HIM FOR COLLEGE AND LIFE
CHAMINADE PACE PROGRAM Pathway to Access College Early
The Chaminade PACE Program is a Dual Credit Program that allows your son to earn college credit while attending Chaminade that can transfer to a college or university upon graduation.
The PACE Program can benefit your son by:
Bridging the process of earning a college degree and escalating the attainment of a Bachelor’s Degree, double major or begin work on a Masters’ Degree Earning college credit that can fulfill many university general studies requirements, including English, Math, Science, History and Language Courses Saving money on tuition and books (dual credit cost is only 20% of normal tuition) Learning from Master’s and Ph.D. level Chaminade Adjunct Instructors
“NEW TIMES, NEW METHODS”
Blessed William Joseph Chaminade
“
When I started at Washington University, I did not think that any of credit hours I had built up at Chaminade would transfer over. To my pleasant surprise though, nearly all of the English & Literature, History and Language courses I had taken through SLU’s ACC Program were able to be applied to my engineering degree requirements. Washington University Engineers are required to take 18 hours of Humanities or Social Sciences courses. I received credit for these courses due to the work I had done in my ACC courses at Chaminade. This freed up by schedule immensely and allowed me to pursue a finance major in addition to my engineering degree and still complete both degrees in four years. Adam Glassl, Class of 2013, Washington University in St. Louis, Esto Vir Recipient
”
“
I never thought filling out the short application would go such a long way in college. By having nearly my entire core list of classes finished before ever stepping foot on campus, it opened a huge realm of possibilities for additional majors or minors. In addition, it significantly opened up the possibilities for taking smaller class loads, or even graduating early. I never listened when teachers would nearly force us to submit college credit hours, but now I am sure glad I did. Ross Weller, Class of 2015, Texas Christian University

‘I would 100% recommend taking as many advanced college credit classes as possible! It really helps with getting a head start on your credit hours, which are necessary to graduate college. The classes offered at Chaminade are great, I loved every single one of them and the teachers who taught them.’ Austen Killian, Class of 2014, Rockhurst University ‘I couldn’t be happier with the college credit program at Chaminade. Because of this program, I was able to graduate a year early and that saved me a large amount of money. Taking college credit classes was essential to my Chaminade and college education.’ Paul Eppy, Class of 2015, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville SLU Classes 6

BUT HOW DOES THIS SAVE MONEY? Let’s take a student from the Class of 2015 as an example. This student was able to attend Texas Christian University with all 27 college credits transferring. The cost per year at TCU is $61,370. With 27 credits being a full year’s worth of college, he saved $59,561 because it only cost him $1,809 to take those 27 credits at Chaminade. This is one of many examples of how Chaminade’s PACE Program is enhancing the college experiences of our graduates.
