A Note From Our Director To our beloved audience,

Tonight is a celebration. A celebration of boundless measures as we finally make our much anticipated return to the stage. We spent this year behind computer screens, confined to our homes, and left in constant wonder of what life moving forward might look like. Nevertheless, through the ever-inspiring beauty and healing potential of movement, we danced. We danced to let go of the fear, we danced to keep our hearts open and bodies strong, and we danced to stay connected to our boundless imaginative souls, taking us far away from our often uncertain and difficult reality. We have now emerged on the other side, still learning and ever adapting, as stronger, smarter, and more proficient artists. So tonight, we are thrilled to share this gift of a theater with you as you peer into the hearts and minds of these students through movement they have created in bedrooms, living rooms, backyards, and kitchens, but now present to you in the spotlight, where they truly belong!

This performance would not be made possible without the work of our incredibly dedicated Chaminade team. From the deepest parts of our hearts, we would like to thank Mike, our amazing technical director, along with his crew of unwavering student technicians. Thank you to Karen Thumm and Yvette Bishop, my personal guiding lights and ever-helping hands as I navigate this new position, Lisa Magorien and Principal Guerra, our fearless leaders, and finally to you, our loyal audience of family, friends, faculty, and staff for your continuous support of dance. We need you now more than ever!

To my beautiful dancers, I thank you for your vast and loyal effort in putting on this program. You each bring such a powerful and unique voice to the stage, and it has been an immense joy to watch those voices develop through this magnificent art form of ours. Whether this be a moment of return or your first time taking the stage, I wish you nothing but luck and minutes of pure bliss as you perform. It has been the greatest honor to help each of you bring your visions to life, but these works you have made are yours to claim and yours to share with pride, and I so look forward to watching you do so. Be Honest, Be Brave, Be Yourself. This is all you must ask of yourselves and the stage will return the favor. Let’s breath, let’s connect, and let’s dance, because, in the end, there is truly nothing better.

Now, no matter be you joining us here in person or at home, we warmly invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy as we open our eyes, hands, and hearts to all the theater has in store for you tonight.
