This living document is the result of 18 months of thoughtful reflection among our stakeholders. It outlines who we are and who we are called to become: a unified, vibrant, Catholic Marianist community committed to forming well-rounded students of character who grow into innovative, compassionate, and faith-filled leaders in their communities and beyond

“I am strongly desirous that the schools measure up to the standards set by ours and that they may become models for all others.”

- Blessed William Joseph Chaminade

The plan builds on our strong foundation, offers a clear direction for sustaining Chaminade’s long-term vitality, and signifies a shared commitment to enhancing the experience we offer our students and families.

Chaminade’s mission “to inspire young people to love, learn, and lead through our Catholic and Marianist traditions of a living faith, academic excellence, and moral responsibility,” anchors every dimension of this plan. To live this mission fully, we must be intentional in shaping each student’s journey, wherever it begins, ensuring they are known, supported, and guided through their formation.

Central to this six-year Strategic Plan is a deep commitment to strengthening Chaminade as a fully integrated 6th-12th grade community. By developing seamless continuity across our middle school and high school programs, we provide a cohesive and supportive experience for every student, from entry through graduation, while honoring the distinctiveness of each campus.

At the heart of this work is our community of Marianist educators, whose steady leadership and dedication bring this plan to life. Through intentional, mission-aligned efforts, our faculty and staff heighten the learning experience, increase engagement, and respond thoughtfully to the evolving academic, spiritual, and developmental needs of our students.

As we look ahead, we do so grounded in faith, grateful for our Catholic Marianist heritage, and confident in the abilities of the young people entrusted to our care. Rooted in mission and inspired by the partnership and trust placed in us by our families, we move forward together with clarity, purpose, and hope.

God bless,

Build Character and Community Through Catholic, Marianist Values 1

Maintaining a supportive and inclusive community where every student thrives and feels a deep sense of belonging, grounded in Catholic, Marianist principles that nurture faith, character, and holistic education.

Outcomes:

• Cultivate the moral and ethical development of all students of all faith backgrounds by articulating and promoting a school-wide ethos rooted in Catholic, Marianist values.

• Amplify Catholic, Marianist intellectual and social teachings into the curriculum, co-curricular programs, and faculty/staff formation.

• Strengthen family engagement through volunteering, community service, and participation in faith and school life across both campuses.

Why this Matters:

Chaminade’s Catholic, Marianist mission shapes students in faith, character, academic excellence, and service, forming a clear and enduring identity that guides the life of the school. Research affirms the importance of strengthening the daily expression of these values through consistent modeling, intentional community-building, and inclusive practices that ensure every student feels known, respected, and supported. By strengthening faculty formation and aligning curriculum, teaching, and student life with Catholic, Marianist values of faith, service, justice, and respect for human dignity, Chaminade will deepen its mission, foster an equitable and welcoming environment where students thrive and belong, and ensure its charism remains vibrant and central to the educational experience.

Promote a Balance of Academic Excellence and Student Wellness

Providing rigorous, responsive, and studentcentered learning that meets the needs of all learners, including those with diverse learning profiles, while promoting balance and overall well-being.

Outcomes:

• Expand comprehensive academic supports and enrichment pathways responsive to individual learning profiles

• Create a unified 6–12 curriculum alignment to ensure seamless progression in academic standards, materials, and assessments.

• Elevate data-informed strategies that help students balance academics, co-curriculars, and extracurriculars while promoting healthy habits such as sleep, family time, and social connection.

• Strengthen cross-campus communication among counselors, teachers, and administrators to support continuity and student success.

Why this Matters:

Chaminade is committed to meeting the needs of today’s learners as student interests and learning profiles continue to evolve. Research affirms strong opportunities to enrich curriculum alignment, deepen instructional coherence, and enhance academic supports, especially during key transitions such as the move from middle school to high school. Wellness data also highlights the importance of helping students balance rigorous academics with healthy engagement, underscoring the value of consistent structures that support both learning and well-being.

By uniting high academic expectations with a purposeful commitment to student well-being, Chaminade will strengthen its learning environment to promote balanced growth. This intentional approach cultivates resilience, fuels motivation, and prepares students to flourish in high school, college, and life.

Advance Curriculum and Co-Curricular Innovation

Providing a 6-12 rigorous, high-quality college preparatory curriculum and co-curricular offerings that incorporate emerging technologies to prepare students to serve and lead with wisdom and purpose.

Outcomes:

• Expand curricular and co-curricular offerings that explore the intersections of science, technology, arts, and humanities.

• Integrate emerging technologies, including AI, into instructional practices and areas of study to enrich teaching and learning.

• Broaden project-based experiential learning that connects classroom learning to real-world challenges.

• Optimize cross-campus collaboration in curriculum design and co-curricular programming to create coherent educational pathways.

• Advance strategic partnerships with colleges and universities to prepare students for admission and increase their engagement with admissions offices.

• Maximize opportunities for college-level learning through dual enrollment, Advanced Placement, and honors courses.

Why this Matters:

Chaminade delivers strong academics and vibrant co-curriculars, yet research shows the need for greater innovation and future-readiness. Key opportunities include expanding interdisciplinary and experiential learning, clarifying pathways, strengthening real-world application, and deepening college partnerships. Technology and AI can improve coordination and communication, though instructional quality must remain the focus.

By pairing academic rigor with forward-thinking program design, Chaminade will deepen interdisciplinary learning, integrate hands-on experiences, and strengthen partnerships that broaden post-secondary options. Strategic use of technology will enhance communication, data systems, and instructional alignment, ensuring a dynamic, holistic, and future-ready pathway to college and beyond.

Invest in People to Sustain Excellence and Innovation

Investing in people to attract, develop, and retain quality mission-driven faculty and staff, equipping them with tools and systems to deliver an exceptional educational experience.

Outcomes:

• Establish mentorship, leadership pathways, and recognition programs to strengthen faculty and staff engagement and growth.

• Provide professional development aligned with academic and wellness priorities.

• Streamline and integrate school management platforms to enhance collaboration, communication, and data-informed decision-making.

• Ensure faculty and staff expectations are clear, practices are consistent across both campuses, and are continuously improved through collaboration and reflective practice.

• Strengthen recruitment and retention efforts through insights from a comprehensive compensation and benefits assessment and by broadening outreach to include partnerships with a wide range of recruiting entities, professional organizations, and community networks.

Why this Matters:

Research consistently shows that strong, stable, and engaged faculty and staff are among the most significant drivers of student success and family confidence. Chaminade’s mission-aligned hiring and solid onboarding already provide a strong foundation, and findings highlight opportunities to deepen instructional alignment, strengthen cross-campus collaboration, and expand professional development that fuels continuous growth and innovation.

By investing strategically in faculty and staff, Chaminade will strengthen mentorship, leadership development, evaluation systems, and workload balance. These efforts create an environment where educators feel valued and supported, elevating instructional quality and ensuring long-term stability, innovation, and mission alignment across the school community.

• Fully implement Phase One of the Two-Campus Master Plan by leveraging campaign contributions, strategic reserves, and financing to improve campus security and elevate the student experience through upgraded facilities.

• Evaluate future facility needs and priorities following completion of Phase One of the TwoCampus Master Plan.

• Optimize dynamic student retention efforts to ensure a strong and engaging experience that supports seamless middle-to-high school matriculation.

• Develop sustainable structures that strengthen enrollment management and admissions efforts, ensuring approaches that attract, retain, and support diverse families.

Why this Matters:

National research shows that long-term sustainability for independent schools relies on strong enrollment, high retention, and a clear value proposition, especially in regions with declining numbers of school-aged children. Benchmarking also points to opportunities for Chaminade to diversify revenue, and align resources with evolving student needs in academics, facilities, and technology. By aligning enrollment strategy, financial planning, and advancement efforts, Chaminade will continue to deliver a compelling, mission-driven experience while ensuring long-term stability. Strategic investments in facilities, technology, financial aid, fundraising, and endowment growth will expand opportunities for students, support affordability, and position Chaminade to thrive for generations to come.

Building on a Strong Foundation

Deepening Mission and Catholic Marianist Identity

Mission integration became more intentional and visible across campus life. Catholic Social Teaching was embedded throughout the curriculum, and Marianist identity was strengthened through formation and mission-centered storytelling. A formal DEIB framework was established, grounded in core values and informed by climate surveys, focus groups, and ongoing formation in inclusivity and belonging. Strategic Marianist Province partnerships launched the Marianist Encounters Project and the EXCEL Program, expanding environmental stewardship and access.

Elevating Faculty and Staff Development

Recognizing that Marianist educators bring mission to life, Chaminade strengthened recruitment, evaluation, and professional growth. A Hiring for Mission framework aligned staffing with Catholic Marianist values. The evaluation system emphasized accompaniment, accountability, and collaboration. Professional development investment increased, reinforcing instructional excellence.

Advancing Curricular Excellence

A unified 6–12 vision strengthened continuity and rigor across both campuses. Curriculum alignment was achieved schoolwide, and evidence-based instructional practices were implemented. Academic offerings expanded, including new middle school courses, enhanced high school arts and advanced programs, and the launch of Mandarin in Fall 2024. Academic support systems broadened, and college counseling was redesigned to begin earlier and guide intentional discernment.

The priorities set forth in the 2017–2024 Strategic Plan, Loving, Learning, and Leading Together, guided meaningful institutional advancement, resulting in achievements that demonstrate the impact of that work and reflect a community that planned intentionally and executed with discipline, laying the foundation for Rooted in Mission, Inspired for Tomorrow

Reimagining Student Well-Being and Success

Through a partnership with Challenge Success, Chaminade aligned rigor with balance. Later start times and revised assessment practices promoted wellness. Expanded counseling services, Wellness Wednesdays, strengthened advisory programming, and the creation of a Wellness Center enhanced student support. High School counseling staff increased by ten percent, and planning began for the implementation of the House System.

Aligning Facilities and Safety with Vision

Facilities planning advanced alongside program growth. STEAM spaces were modernized with new makerspaces, and the TwoCampus Master Plan progressed. The 7.5 million dollar Soaring to New Heights campaign exceeded its initial goal. Comprehensive safety enhancements were completed across both campuses, and key project approvals advanced.

Strengthening Financial Sustainability and Access

Institutional vitality strengthened while opportunity expanded. Inquiries and applicants increased, selectivity reached 70%, and retention improved to 96% across grades. Financial aid grew to more than $5.6 million, serving nearly one-third of students. Merit scholarships increased, and endowment growth supported longterm sustainability.
