Mr. Guerra's Welcome Message

Dear Chaminade Families,

It is my privilege to welcome you to the 2022-2023 academic year! No, summer isn't quite over yet, but it is amazing how time seems to accelerate during the summer. I hope and pray that you have taken intentional time to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. This downtime is an important factor in keeping our collective spirits healthy and balanced. If you haven't done so already, please make sure you and your family take some downtime and rest.

Though the frst day of school is over a month away, it is that time of the summer to proactively share our annual summer newsletter. The enclosed newsletter contains pertinent information about the return to school. Please diligently review and use this as a guide to start the school year off right.

Again, welcome to the 2022-2023 academic year and I look forward to seeing everyone in August!

New Students

FRESHMEN class of 2026

Monday, August 15th

8:30am-1:00pm

Meet in the Gym.

All students should arrive between 8:00-8:25am.

All students need to be in Chaminade uniform and lunch will be provided. Students do not need their laptop or school supplies.

Tuesday, August 16th

8:30am-10:30am

Meet in the Gym.

All students should arrive between 8:00-8:25am.

All students need to be in Chaminade uniform. Students do not need their laptop or school supplies.

Students will have ID & yearbook photo taken. Order photos online at www.whites-studios.com/k-11photos

Pre ordered Spirit Packs will be available for pick up in the Bob Hope Center.

All 10th, 11th, and 12th Grade Transfer Students

Monday, August 15th

8:30am-1:00pm

Meet in front of the Main Offce All students should arrive between 8:00-8:25am

All students need to be in Chaminade uniform. Lunch will be provided & students will receive laptop during Orientation.

Tuesday, August 16th

Each transfer student will also attend their grade level Orientation on Tuesday, August 16th . Please see grade level information for Tuesday Orientations.

Meet in the Tutor Center.

All students should arrive between 10:30-10:55am All students need to be in Chaminade uniform and clean shaven.

Seniors will have photo ID taken. Seniors will not be allowed to leave campus on 1:30 days without current 22-23 school ID.

Students will be able to pick up pre-ordered Senior Clothing and Spirit Packs (Sweatpants & Spirit Shirt) during this time.

SOPHOMORE

AUGUST 15th - 20th

LAPTOP

Laptop distribution for all incoming 9th grade students will take place over the summer. Each students will attend a 90-minute training session. In the training session, students will learn the unique features of the Tablet PC and will be trained to use several new technologies and software to prepare them for the fall term. Students must remain for the entire time they select for their training. Parents and siblings may not attend the session on behalf of their student.

Students will have an "early bird" opportunity to pick up their computer on Wednesday, July 20th. If a student is unable to make the "early bird" date, they will be able to receive their computer the day of freshmen orientation on Monday, August 15th.

Students will report to the Chaminade Library on the 300 level during their selected time. If a student received a computer from taking a 9th grade summer class, they do not need to sign up.

Tuesday, August 16th

All students will have school ID and yearbook portraits taken on Tuesday, August 16th. Please see Orientation schedule for grade-specifc times to be on campus. All students must be in uniform and cleanly shaven.

Seniors who want to leave campus for lunch on odd days, which is a senior privilege, must be at Orientation to get their ID for the 2022-2023 school year. Students will not be allowed to leave campus with last year's ID card.

We are pleased to share that the 2023 Aerie is once again included in tution and will be distributed to every student in May 2023.

At the request of your High School Yearbook Staff, we are photographing the Class of 2023. With White’s Studios, you are guaranteed to get plenty of variety. Be prepared to have a great experience and high quality senior portraits!
