Cormac Walshe, Abtran

Abtran has recently appointed Cormac Walshe as their new Managing Director. Cormac’s experience includes leading multilingual tech support operations and delivering large-scale transformation projects and enterprise-wide IT capabilities. His industry knowledge spans management consultancy, financial services, e-commerce, and telecommunications with a focus on customer experience, self-service and automation. He has led global teams across enterprise brands including Accenture, Amazon, Hewlett-Packard, Peloton and Vodafone. Cormac will lead Abtran’s growth initiatives across new industries and geographies, as they expand their digital, managed services, and business process management capabilities.

Maureen Fox, The Open University in Ireland

With her appointment the University looks forward to leveraging their expertise to help build on its successes and expand its offerings in Ireland and beyond.

Tom Gannon

Velo Coffee Roasters is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Gannon as their new Non-Executive Director. Gannon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organisation from his years of experience in the food industry. Gannon’s systematic success across brands such as Red Bull, Fulfill & Cali Cali will accelerate Velo Coffee’s growth to the next level.

Velo is continuously pushing towards growth and development. The team has grown every year and they are always working to build and improve the brand and the product. In this next stage for the Cork Roastery, they plan to further expand the brand across Ireland and internationally with Tom’s guidance.

Leading digital marketing agency ePresence has appointed Declan Clancy as Director of Business Development. Declan has over 10 years’ experience working in digital marketing with previous roles in the technology and hospitality industries. He has played a significant role in transforming some of Ireland’s best loved brands and in his new role Declan will be responsible for leading the ePresence strategic growth initiatives, enhancing the broad digital service offering and continuing to manage a diverse client portfolio.

Karen O’Donoghue, Irish Examiner and The Echo

Karen O’Donoghue has been named Managing Director of the Irish Examiner and The Echo. During her time as Marketing Director at the Irish Examiner and The Echo she oversaw the branding strategy for both titles, managed the introduction of data analytics, the rebrand of the Evening Echo to The Echo and Echolive.ie and has led the integration of the Irish Examiner’s subscription offering, which now boasts 20,000 digital and home delivery subscribers.
