Marioly grew up near Chalice’s Yapacani site in Bolivia. She always admired her mother, María Isabel, running her family of six on her own. Her financial situation was limited, but, just at the right moment, Marioly’s mom heard about Chalice sponsorship.

Marioly’s life changed ten years ago when she was sponsored. The family’s nutrition improved and they participated in community activities organized by the sponsor site. She could complete her secondary studies and now she is in her third year of a Biochemistry and Pharmacy degree.

“My next dream is to work in a pharmacy or laboratory or start my own pharmaceutical company. I feel lucky to have my godparents [sponsors] on my side, who always care about my well-being and health,” she says. “I love them a lot... for many years they have been part of my life and I always carry them in my heart.” now
