President’s Message Merry Christmas! I hope this catalogue finds you well and that, as you prepare to celebrate this holy season, you find moments of peace and gratitude.

Christmas is a season of joy, but that does not mean our lives are always joyful or free from challenges. Each of us carries worries, disappointments and struggles, alongside the blessings and moments of happiness that make life meaningful. Perhaps this is part of what makes Christmas so powerful: God did not wait for a perfect world to enter it. He came to us in the midst of ordinary, imperfect human life, bringing hope, love and light.

Perhaps challenges, too, have a purpose. Through difficulty, we can grow in character, discover the generosity of others, and learn to appreciate the people and blessings we might otherwise overlook.

So, this Christmas, I wish you joy—not a life entirely free from challenges, but the grace and strength to meet whatever comes your way. May the birth of Christ remind you that, even in difficult times, we are never without hope.

When you honour someone by buying a gift from the Chalice gift guide, we’ll send them a beautiful handwritten card telling them of the gift that’s been purchased in their honour to help a family or community in the developing world.

Official tax receipts will be issued in February 2027. If your donation for specific items exceeds the amount needed, we will use your donation to support other Chalice projects and programs. Gifts are given to children and their communities; we cannot direct gifts from a sponsor to their sponsored child.

Hundreds of Hopes Education gifts are making a difference for hundreds of students in the Mombasa site in Kenya. Almost 100 students received new school uniforms and shoes which help them feel selfassured and motivated. Your gifts also supported tuition for 19 junior high and high school students, as well as 18 in higher education. The gift of tuition ensures they can stay enrolled and stay focused on success.

Rice, Laughter, and Newborn Smiles The Wa site staff in Ghana use Christmas as an opportunity to uplift everyone — of all ages — in the community.

Community members armed with brooms, gloves, garbage bags, and laughter, rolled up their sleeves to restore cleanliness and pride to three villages. Staff brought warmth and hope to 25 families through baskets of rice and soup ingredients. They also brought newborn essentials to both expecting and new parents. They also gave the joy of Christmas parties to all children and parents, books to students, and donations to local health centres and patients.

“We are incredibly grateful for this largescale act of inclusion,” says Michael, Wa site director. “Your generosity ensured that every sponsored child felt cherished and special, creating lasting, positive memories that they will treasure for a lifetime.”
