Fall Kill Creek Poughkeepsie The Fall Kill is a creek in duchess county of the state of New York.

The stream begins from Clinton town and flows southwards towards the town of Poughkeepsie.

The creek passes through the town of Poughkeepsie and merges into the Hudson River.

The stream runs for approximately 38 miles before joining the Hudson River.

The creek is graded the third order stream, meaning its is a merged form of two second order streams.

The Northern sections of the stream are mostly characterised as wetlands and marshes whereas the southern most part s surrounded by urbannisation.

The creek received more importance after the hurricane Irene in 2011.
