I

t is truly an honor to have served as your ASB President, and it is my privilege to reflect upon our time here at Chadwick.

Graduation, commencement — the biggest step we have ever taken is finally upon us.

I spoke on our first day of school about making the most of our time this year, and I challenged you all to try to capture your Chadwick experience with just one photograph. And I ask that again: if you could only take one picture to sum up your time at Chadwick, what would you photograph?

Would you elect to capture the sixth-grade square dance with your awkward friends undergoing puberty, or the time everyone in our grade came together to wear red in Middle School for December 12, 2012, or the time we won tug-of-war against the freshmen despite our grade size, or perhaps our junior retreat when we showed Mr. Zachos what our grade was truly all about as we passionately yelled at each other during card games. Maybe you would take a photo of the moment we won over the color black for Homecoming against the Class of 2017, or maybe that time Katie got lost without a whistle and headlamp in the middle of the night on Outdoor Ed. It is with full intention that I bring this photo challenge upon us now for the second time. To be honest, it’s incredibly difficult to try to sum up our experience here with just one moment precisely because we, the now-graduating Class of 2018 of Chadwick School, are creative and involved in multiple facets of our community.

If Chadwick were an ordinary high school, you would see the athletes in the corner, gathered around with no sense of interaction with the musicians, actors, nerds, and artists.

But Chadwick isn’t ordinary. Here, every student embodies a variety of personas: we are not simply the nerd who tries to get a 100, not a 98, on Mr. Nordlund’s Periodization quizzes, or the runner who tries to keep up with Sacco and his special Nike shoes, or the dancer choreographing moves for the next dance show.

We are the nerd, the runner, and the dancer all at once.

And because we strive for that level of excellence in all the activities we do, we graduate from Chadwick as better and more wholesome people.

Margaret Chadwick in 1937 said, “Experience is the best of all schools. A school’s curriculum should consist of experiences.” At Chadwick, experiential learning gets us directly out on the field, in the spotlight on stage, and within the depths of the photography darkroom. It sends us to the ocean for Marine Bio and amusement parks for Physics.

We’re analyzing art at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Building upon that kind of Chadwick education, I am beyond excited to see what our grade is capable of doing for ourselves and for each other as we move into a new chapter of our lives.

But as we move forward, let’s not forget to continue to hold onto that sense of exploration and desire to try new things. Carry your Chadwick moments and apply them to the future. To leave Chadwick is not the end of our adventure: this event is called Commencement for a reason. Let’s keep putting ourselves out there on the field, in the oceans, on the stage, and in the studio. Chadwick’s mission statement is not just for our time here. It’s an ideal to strive towards for the rest of our lives.

We face important decisions and forks in the one-way road we’ve come to rely on. And if you’re like the majority of students our age, you won’t know which road to take or what decision will carry you the furthest. I know I sure don’t.

There is no more straight path from where we sit to a comfortable and glamorous future. There is no more one-way road, nor will we get the escort we’ve received from Chadwick and our families. Our roads are now filled with traffic, various potholes, speed bumps, and bad drivers. Well, we already have plenty of experience with those on Academy Hill.

But it’s okay. As we begin to test those dead-end roads and put our futures into our own hands, we need to understand that we are all excellent in our own ways. I wish, Class of 2018, that we continue to breathe our uniqueness. We are a group built honest by the honor code, driven by the core values and core competencies and taught by innovative faculty.

Chadwick has given us so much and has prepared us well for what’s ahead of us. Margaret Chadwick’s desire to become a pioneer in education has given us experiences and opportunities otherwise unimaginable. We’ve collectively achieved so much during our time at Chadwick that the truth is, we likely won’t be able to select that favorite photograph moment today or ever.

There’s no way we can distill our experience here with one moment. But that’s okay. It speaks more to the brilliance of our class and the exciting future ahead for us. Carry those moments, those experiences, and opportunities you obtained at Chadwick with you as you step into the future. So many more photograph moments lay ahead of us.

I

have known most of these amazing people for 13 years. 13 years of friendship, struggle, growth, and experiences. I have had some of my best and some of my worst memories at this school. My earliest memory of having a friend was on the kindergarten playground swings next to Andrew Buchanan. I remember seeing him do a back flip off the swings and thinking, this kid is crazy. I want to be friends with him.

I have not only come to know my classmates so much better over my years here, but my teachers and the staff, as well. My favorite part about Chadwick has always been its people. From Mrs. Galloway in kindergarten to Mr. Wallace this year, I can see the love and commitment that every teacher has for the student body. Even though Mrs. Galloway is retired, she still takes our Marine Bio class out on her boat to watch sea lions. That is the kind of love that makes Chadwick so special.

I feel like Chadwick and its people are all I have ever known. And now... it’s over.

I was scared that my world was coming to an end. I was scared to lose the deepest, longest, most meaningful relationships in my whole life. But that was before we left for our Senior Trip.

I don’t know how to put the best three weeks of my life into words, but there is one experience that I think represents our trip and my time at Chadwick.

On our tenth day, our group decided to do something that no other outdoor ed group had ever done before. We woke up at 1:15 a.m. to climb Olancha Peak to see the sunrise from the summit.

After waking up in the freezing cold, we climbed for hours up through the trees and rocks. We watched as the moon slowly dipped below the horizon, and as the most beautiful night sky I have ever seen began to emerge. The milky way stretched from one end of the sky to the other among billions of bright stars.

The sky turned to a softer blue as we reached the top of the mountain. Looking out over the valley at the mountains peaking above the clouds bathed in the warm reds, oranges and yellows of the rising sun, I was overwhelmed with emotion. My eyes filled with tears as I looked around at my group, my family. They were crying too. We sat there freezing and smiling staring at the sunrise as the wind whipped at our backs.

It was the feeling of gratitude above all else that I felt on top of that mountain. Gratitude for the place that I am in, the people around me and my Chadwick experience. That was the moment that my fears and apprehensions about leaving Chadwick disappeared.

The relationships that I have built over my years at Chadwick are kind of like that experience. We have all worked so hard to build these friendships and climb that mountain. There are rough patches and times when we need to take a break, but we always continue to climb higher. And now that we are at the peak, we can see the sunrise. We can look back on all of the amazing people we have met and appreciate every moment we have spent with them.

But the sunrise doesn’t last forever. That’s what makes it so special. Nothing is static. Relationships change, bend, and sometimes break, but they always stay with us. Relationships are a cycle, and now we are just moving onto another cycle and another part of our lives. This sunrise might be over, but there will be many more to come.

I’m really going to miss high school a lot. Because of all of you, this chapter of my life is unforgettable, and I am incredibly thankful for that. Although it won’t be the same in the future, we will always have these memories and know that our years at Chadwick were amazing.

Favorite Moments

Among the grand achievements, rites of passage and unforgettable experiences that shape our years in school, it’s sometimes the little moments that have the greatest impact. As their school years at Chadwick ended, some members of the senior class reflected on their most treasured memories.

My best memory of Chadwick is going on the 3-week backpacking trip with all of my best friends.

My best memory of Chadwick School is spending months making a dance about societal pressures and watching the dance play out before my eyes at the dance concert. It was great to share my thoughts with the audience and see my vision come to life.

My best memory of Chadwick School is sitting on the main lawn with my friends during our free time and listening to music, relaxing, and catching up with each other.

My favorite memory was definitely the summer after my freshman year when I had the opportunity to go with a bunch of my classmates to Salamanca, Spain, study Spanish and become immersed in the culture. It is a memory I will always cherish above all else.

My best memory is completing my Eagle project at Chadwick, and the camaraderie my friends showed in helping me construct the rainwater catchment system which still stands in the kindergarten today.

My best memory of Chadwick School is meeting my best friend on the kindergarten playground. We became friends because we thought we looked like twins, and that’s exactly what she is to me — not just a friend, a sister.

SENIOR ATHLETES Four of Chadwick’s graduating seniors will go on to play sports at the collegiate level.

Kaeley Aroesty earned the title of a U.S. Hunter Jumper Association Emerging Jumper Rider this past November. She also won the championship at the 2017 Del Mar International Horse Show and the 2016 Blenheim International Jumping Festival. Aroesty will continue to display her equestrian talents at Hollins University.

Blair McDonald set a new Chadwick School record in the 100-meter dash at 12.36, beating the previous record held by alumna and Olympian Christen Press ’07. McDonald is a member of the All-Prep League Soccer and Track teams and the captain of Slammers FC Newport Beach, the United States’ top-ranked club soccer team. She will play soccer at Vanderbilt University.

Catie Mihm has played club soccer since the age of six and has been a member of the U.S.A. High Performance Team since the age of 14. She also has played in the Junior Olympics three times. She will be attending Brown University in the fall.

Alexa Schulten has been a four-year varsity softball starter, earning a place on the Second Team All Prep League her freshman year. She will be taking her .690 batting average to Claremont McKenna College in the fall.

On June 7, 2018, Chadwick held its annual Tree and Awards Ceremony. The tradition of planting a new tree for each award given was started by Mrs. Chadwick in the early years when the campus had very few trees. Now with an abundance of trees on the property new ones are planted only rarely, but the tradition of acknowledging student achievement continues. Each year Chadwick honors exceptional students for their performance in academics, the arts, athletics and as outstanding citizens. Though each award celebrates a different set of qualities and proficiencies, all recipients have demonstrated the respect, responsibility, honesty, compassion and fairness that are Chadwick’s Core Values.

THIS SPRING, Chadwick students delved into projects that connected their studies to the wider world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). From creating original video games and exploring the possibilities of robotics to conducting research that furthers our understanding of human biology, Chadwick students kept our campus humming with innovation and discovery.

Senior Amy Zhou co-authored a paper entitled “Epitope-Based Vaccine Design Yields Fusion Peptide-Directed Antibodies that Neutralize Diverse Strains of HIV-1.” Zhou spent her past two summers at the Vaccine Research Center, in Bethesda, Md., where she studied the best-in-class anti-HIV antibody called N6, which is currently in production for human clinical trial. She was listed as one of the co-authors due to her contribution of two crystals of protein and one data set into the paper that appeared in the June 2018 issue of “Nature Medicine.”

Ninth-grader Hannah Bauer earned the Regional Award for Aspirations in Computing (AiC) from the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT). The award was presented to Bauer at a ceremony at UCLA, where she was recognized for her aptitude in computing and her academic accomplishments.

In the Village, sixth-graders developed original video games that displayed what they have learned about the social structure and culture of ancient Egypt; fifth-graders explored what it means to be a safe and responsible digital citizen; third-graders explored coding and collaboration while working with their DASH robots; and secondgraders worked in the Makerspace applying their learning about the farm-to-table movement to the creation of video games of their own!

ATHLETICS ROUNDUP

THE END OF THE SPRING TERM capped off a season of impressive athletic performances. Upper-Schooler Casie Wooten was named All-American Tennis Player by The National High School Tennis All-American Foundation. She is the #2 player among girls 16-and-under in Southern California and ranked as #79 in the nation among girls 16-and-under.

Senior Blair McDonald set a new Chadwick School record for the 100-meter dash at 12.36 surpassing the previous record set in 2007 by Chadwick alumna and Olympian Christen Press. Blair and her teammate Landon Dyson also were named individual Prep League Champions in Track & Field.

Boys Golf won the Prep League Championship for the second year in a row, and Girls Softball tied for first place in the Prep League Championship. Boys Volleyball and Tennis both took second place in the Prep League. For the school year, Chadwick had seven Prep League MVPs, two individual Prep League Champions, 35 students named Prep League First Team All-League and 26 students named Prep League Second Team All-League. All in all, a stellar year!

THE UPPER SCHOOL’S PERFORMANCE of the musical “Spring Awakening” was a bold and courageous production, and the cast and crew were honored for their hard work when they were named “Best Production” at the Jerry Herman High School Musical Theater Awards held at the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Los Angeles. Earlier this spring, Performing Arts Chair Nigel Williams was awarded Director of the Year, and Kindra Windish was awarded Best Choreography by the John Raitt Awards for Youth.

The Middle School performance of the Calypso-tinged “Once On this Island” was beautifully performed, and Village School fourthgraders performed “A Walk Through California,” offering glimpses of the state’s history and changing population.

Chadwick’s Upper School Chorus earned top honors at this year’s Anaheim Heritage Festival, earning first place in their division with a gold rating, the Adjudicator’s Award and the grand prize of Outstanding Choral Group.

Chadwick’s Jubilee Singers gave a “Ride On” concert, performing 14 songs designed to bring hope, joy, relief and greater understanding through the sharing of music.

FROM PERSPECTIVAL DRAWING and photograms to chalk murals, ceramics, and large scale abstract portraiture, Chadwick students explored a wide variety of media and materials to give visual expression to their experiences and ideas. The Upper School Spring Art Show showcased the innovative and sophisticated work being done in grades 9-12. The Middle School Pop-Up Show and the Village Art Show gave parents, faculty and the larger community a look at the emerging talent in our student community.

OUTDOOR EDUCATION ROUNDUP

AS THEIR LAST DAYS AT CHADWICK DREW NEARER, the senior class had the opportunity to spend three weeks in the Southern Sierras. The Senior Outdoor Ed trip is the ultimate test of endurance, responsibility and collaboration — and a rite of passage before seniors embark on their college journeys. The Senior Outdoor Ed trip also offered the opportunity for students to share one final adventure together.

Village School sixth-graders enjoyed their own outdoor education experience, traveling to Camp Ocean Pines in Cambria. Fourth-graders traveled to the Santa Monica Mountains where they spent two nights camping and three days traversing the region and examining their environment. Third-graders spent their very first overnight experience at El Capitan where they met live reptiles and did a creek hike to the beach to do water testing. Secondgraders took a day trip to visit White Point Nature Preserve in San Pedro, and first-graders traveled to Madrona Marsh, while kindergartners spent an evening on campus, exploring their first outdoor learning experience.

GLOBAL PROGRAMS ROUNDUP

CHADWICK NINTH- AND 10TH-GRADE GIRLS visited Cambodia for two weeks as part of “Speak Up for Girls: Cambodia.” The trip’s aim was to give students the opportunity to foster justice around the world and, critically, to experience firsthand the way girls are viewed in other cultures. Chadwick students who traveled to Cambodia met Cambodian girls, worked with them collaboratively on projects and traveled through the country to more fully understand the reality of their lives.

Last fall, four Chadwick students — Rachel Freer, Josiah Guzman-Mariscal, Lily Hill and Amanda Kessaris — attended the Round Square International Conference in Cape Town, South Africa. During this two-week experience, the students engaged deeply with the Round Square IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service. They also made lasting relationships among nearly 1,500 peers from over 50 different countries across the globe.

COMMUNITY SERVICE ROUNDUP

CHADWICK STUDENTS DEMONSTRATED THEIR COMMITMENT to bettering their communities in a variety of ways. Seventeen seniors spent their last three weeks at Chadwick dedicating themselves to meaningful service in the community, including helping the homeless, special-needs students, various nonprofits, the USO and Habitat for Humanity.

Eighth-graders volunteered at various locations throughout the South Bay as part of their Third Annual Day of Service, and seventh-graders returned to the 93rd Street School to teach poetry to the students whom they worked with during their last visit in the fall. The-sixth graders kicked off their very first Day of Service by performing community service across the South Bay area.

Knapp ’01, owner and founder of COMMON SPACE, spoke about the trials and tribulations of opening and starting his own brewery, and shared his knowledge, tips, and advice on doing so. Alumni favorites included a message from Chadwick’s ChImps and a video featuring Erin Nordlund, Lauren White, and Mark Wiedenmann.

By the end of the day, 276 alumni had contributed to a gift totaling over $35,000!

What’s more, 87 alumni made their first-ever gift to Chadwick!

1959 MUFFET CALLENDER writes, “I am not sure if you received the news that John Callender ’59 passed away on Jan. 19, 2018. It was a very sad moment. Aloha, Muffet (wife).”

1962 JANET BROOKS BIRNKRANT writes, “Married 53 years, three daughters, seven grandkids, I live in Los Angeles and Palm Desert.

We are all well and really enjoying life, what is not to enjoy?”

RICK LEARNED reports, “After 74 years living in Southern California, my wife, Shuhua Zhang, and I have purchased a home in Sonoma and we are looking forward to catching up with my Northern California classmates. I am also looking forward to spending more time with my granddaughter, Natalie Michelle Tufts, who was born in February.”

1964 BROOKES HUTCHINSON BROWN writes, “Two years ago, Owen and I moved to Birmingham, Alabama, to be near our daughter, Amy and her family, and to be closer to OB’s beloved Auburn University. We continue our Cousins Camp every year for our seven grandchildren (ages 1 to 9 years) and their parents!”

JAQUELINE PETERS GREEN writes, “Still love living in Hawaii!!

I am 90 miles from the action! Our island is growing, but it isn’t affecting most of us. Just 100 + homes in the southeastern corner of the island. Very sad for those families. Kona area is still fine.

Some fog, but it hasn’t affected us much. I love volunteering at the county’s civic center and for the Master Gardener helpline!”

1969 ALEXANDRA STORM writes, “I started using my middle name as my first name when I turned 50, so now I am Alexandra Storm! I am living in a 1703 farmhouse on 19 acres in Eastern Pennsylvania.

It is easy access to NYC and Philadelphia. Love living here.”

1976 BOB RULE writes, “After 31 years I have to say I still enjoy what I do at Chadwick. Watching the Seniors return from the trip this week brought back many wonderful memories. As always, I look forward to hearing from classmates and please come visit us on campus.”

VANESSA SMITH writes, “I was invited to Antigua and Barbuda by the curator of the National Pavilion of Antigua and Barbuda to create a series of films for the 2018 Venice Biennale. Barbuda was devastated by Hurricane Irma in September 2017. I ended up making 37 short films about various subjects including: the island’s devastation; students living on islands of low elevation sharing environmental concerns, and ideas about preserving and protecting the cultural heritage and history of the twin island nation. These films can be seen at the National Pavilion of Antigua and Barbuda in Venice, Italy, through November 2018 and are also on the National Pavilion website. For the Art Biennale 2017, I was in a satellite show exhibiting 42 paintings and a series of 95 short films called the”Art of Impermanence.” My mother died just before the show opened and I made a film of her 65-year-career of painting, which played continuously at the show. My mom was my most important inspiration and mentor and friend. My mom made many things happen in my life. She first met Mrs. Chadwick and that is why mom chose that school for me. In turn, Mrs. Chadwick opened up the world of ideas to me because we lived next door and I visited her often. Mrs. Chadwick is also the reason I ended up at Stanford. By the way, Andrea Henderson Fahnestock ’76, reminded me to do these class notes. I have her to thank for so much in my life. And it all started in kindergarten at Chadwick when she was dressed as a blue angel for Halloween.”

GEORGE TURNER writes, “After graduating from Chadwick I went to Stanford University and USC Law Center, and now I practice law with The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office (21 years). I would love to hear from classmates or alumni in my area (Laguna Niguel, CA).”

1983 JILL MEINE SANDERS writes, “Hi Everyone - I wanted to point out that your art classes matter ;-) I was the photo editor of the 1983 yearbook and am now a professional landscape photographer. 1985 LAWLER KANG writes, “I am extraordinarily stoked to report that my hooligan daughter graduated from The Commonwealth School in Boston and is attending the dual degree program at Columbia/ Sciences Po. She leaves for Monton, which is nestled between Monaco and the Italian Riviera, for two years where she will study MENA/Mediterranean political economies (and Arabic) and then will return to get another degree, possibly in Human Rights, from Columbia. I am very glad to see she has my beach gene; apparently, the school’s WiFi hits the beach. On a side note, I have become a stand-up paddleboard addict (yes, even in 7 degree weather!).”

1995 MATTHEW WILLER writes, “Hello Dolphins. I am pleased to announce that I was appointed as the CEO of Assure Holdings Corp in 2016 and we went public on the Toronto Stock Exchange on May 26, 2017. Subsequently we have been acknowledged as the largest percentage gainer year to date on the stock exchange and we were invited to open the market and ring the bell. Assure is an industry leader in Neuromonitoring during invasive surgeries.”

1996 NATALIE WILLIAMS STRONG writes, “I am currently the president of the El Segundo Art Association, a member of the Hermosa Beach Artist Collective, and I was just appointed to the El Segundo Arts and Culture Advisory Commission. You can follow my art adventures on Instagram @constantalchemy.”

1988 MICHAEL SHELDON writes, “Not too much to report — four kids doing well; two dogs that love the beach more than I do (which is saying a lot); small fishing boat helps me catch alot of rockfish but no yellowtail yet; I retired about a year ago from my company so I spend my days coaching basketball, playing FortNite, yelling at the television, and watching the stock market go to infinity. All is well!”

JENNIFER CHOU writes, “I recently prosecuted a very interesting and difficult case: the defendant, Merced Cambero, Jr., along with fellow gang members, shot and killed an innocent black man as part of the gang’s mission to drive black residents out of the gang’s territory. Cambero and his co-defendants were charged with hate crime, murder, and conspiracy. What made this case really complicated was that the murder occurred in 1999 and although his co-defendants were all convicted at trial in 2006, Cambero went on the run for nearly two decades until he was finally caught in 2017. In early 2018 he pleaded guilty and in June 2018 he was sentenced to 20 years. I’m proud of my fellow prosecutors and the FBI agents who persevered to bring this individual to justice and to bring closure to the victims after all this time.”

1998 JAX COLE writes, “Lots of exciting activity in spring 2018 in the Cole household! A bun in my oven is due in December! In May, I was awarded a Medal of Honor by Port Police as a “rescue swimmer” for saving a man overboard. He had fallen off his sailboat into deep water outside Angel’s Gate lighthouse. Port Police intervened preventing the runaway boat from crashing.

2000 STEPHANIE UCHIMA-CARNEY writes, “On June 9, 2018, my husband, Michael Carney, and I welcomed into the world Mia Yumi Carney. Although she surprised us almost 4 weeks early, she came out a strong 5lb 15oz little girl.

Her 3-year-old brother, Chase, is over the moon about his little sister!”

2002 ROBERT LUCAS writes, “On March 9, I graduated from the U.S. Air Force Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. I am currently completing the Logistics Readiness Officer Course at Sheppard AFB, Texas.

Following that I will be serving on active duty for five months of further training with the 436th Aerial Port Squadron at Dover AFB.”

2003 ERICA LARSEN HARRIS writes, “I started this summer as the Head Coach with college admissions startup Getting IN. Getting IN’s innovative mobile platform provides expert college counseling and on-demand live coaching to students nationwide. The app is still in beta and rolls out this fall. Also of note: Erica’s very Chadwick wedding featured high school besties Alison Brown, Jenny Chen, and Melissa Henry Luna as bridesmaids. Also celebrating were Kristin (Cohoon) Olin ’02, Kristen (Schulz) Thompson ’02, Nicole Kawahara ’02, Crystal Marrie ’02, Casey Owen ’04, Caroline (Wright) Larsen ’06, and Austen Wright ’10.”

2004 MARY CATHERINE BURDINE writes, “I graduated from MIT Sloan School of Management’s inaugural ELLE International Fashion and Luxury Management Program on May 25, 2018, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The ELLE International Fashion and Luxury Management Program was the result of an innovative collaboration between ELLE, the world’s number one fashion media brand, MIT Sloan Executive Education, and Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). The program was a seven-month worldwide intensive traveling from Madrid to Paris to New York and Boston to complete studies in the certificate program. I was one of only 43 participants worldwide.”

LIANA AUSTIN writes, “My husband (Phil Maranville) and I got married on November 8, 2016, and we just welcomed our daughter, Nani Evelyn Austin-Maranville, on May 24, 2018. She weighed 8lbs 1.4oz and was 20.5in long.”

LEAH FEYGIN writes, “Friends and family gathered on May 13, 2018, in Berkeley, CA to celebrate the Ph.D. graduations of Sidney Feygin ’03 and Kappy Mintie ’05. Mr. Michael and Dr. Polina Feygin hosted the graduation luncheon. Also present at the luncheon were Leah Feygin ’05, Laurence Feygin ’11, Natalie Colich ’05, her husband, their daughter, Kappy’s partner, and Anthony Marra. Sidney ’03 completed his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley in 2018. He is currently continuing his research in metropolitan scale transportation behavior simulation at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs and contracting with Sidewalk Labs as a data scientist and engineer.

Kappy ’05 completed her Ph.D. in the History of Art at UC Berkeley in 2017. Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Scholar of American Art History at DePauw University. In September 2019, she will begin work at the Harvard Art Museums as a Curatorial Fellow in Photography. Natalie ’05 completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at Stanford University in 2017. Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Scholar studying the neurobiological effects of childhood adversity at the University of Washington. I flew in from New York City where I work for Twitter as a Senior Brand Strategist. Laurence ’11 joined the celebration from San Francisco where he works at a start-up called Brava as a Culinary Quality Assurance Analyst.”

2006 Chadwick classmates ALEX RAFAEL and CHRIS REED graduated in June from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Alex will be joining the consulting firm of A.T. Kearney in Chicago as an Associate. Chris will be an Operations Fellow at Roxbury Prep, a public school in Boston.

and his wife Leanna welcomed Ryder Michael Mihovilovich on June 3, 2018. Ryan weighed 6 lbs., 12 ozs., and was 19 inches long.

Ryder is the Mihovilovichs’ first child. The new parents are a little tired, but Ryder is doing great!
