The Cornerstone team brought the truck to the Statehouse to show legislators and staff how the partnership is working

Cornerstone also works with Sysco in Denver, where they celebrated the launch of the electric vehicle tax credit alongside Gov. Jared Polis, Colorado Energy Office Executive Director Will Toor, Rep. Junie Joseph and representatives from Sysco. Sysco is preparing to launch their first fleet of electric trucks in Colorado as a result of HB23-1272, which created new and expanded tax credits to promote light-duty vehicles and trucks. Cornerstone’s Public Affairs & Strategic Communications team continues to expand its reach and experience in professional sports. In 2023, the MLB and MLBPA gave the go-ahead for teams to secure sponsors for patches that would appear on the sleeve of all spring training and regular season jerseys. As part of our work with QuikTrip, Cornerstone helped our client become the Kansas City Royals’ first ever jersey patch partner, which is the MLB’s first and only jersey partnership built around investing in the community Focused on improving youth literacy in the Kanas City area, the partnership coincides with the launch of the ‘Hit the Books’ program, which will work through the local public school system.

In addition to advising on the formation of the partnership, Cornerstone provided QuikTrip with message development, media relations, press conference planning and other strategic support as it announced the multi-year agreement While based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kansas City was a natural choice for QuikTrip, as the market was the company’s first outside of Oklahoma. Both QuikTrip and the Royals have long prioritized philanthropy as a key pillar of their organizations.
