FRANKFORT, KY Cornerstone is excited to announce the launch of our newest office in Frankfort, Kentucky!
Katelyn Bunning, who has served as a principal on our federal government relations team since April 2021, has moved from D.C. back to her home state of Kentucky to help the firm establish its presence in the Commonwealth. Additionally, we welcomed a new principal, Ethan Witt, who will work with Katelyn to build out our newest state market. Ethan comes to Cornerstone from Eastern Kentucky University, where he most recently served as vice president of their government and community relations department. We look forward to Karen Kelly joining Cornerstone as a principal in our Kentucky office this August. Karen comes to the firm after serving for nearly a decade as the district director to the Dean of the House of Representatives Hal Rogers (R-KY).

Congratulations to our Georgia clients Oglethorpe Power Corporation and Georgia Electric Membership Corporation for launching a historic renewable energy project of 225,000 solar panels in Houston County - a $55,000 investment providing power to 11,000 homes in the state. The Houston Solar project will help provide clean energy for more than 4 million Georgians in the community.
In May, Cornerstone client Advanced Materials and Devices, Inc. (AMAD) received a commercialization grant from the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium. For 23 years, AMAD has excelled in leading technological advancements and contributed to innovation. We are proud to support their work and look forward to seeing the impact their sensor blast technology will have in supporting military health and readiness. Cornerstone represents the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland and Oklahoma. In April, Cornerstone’s Courtney Bradway, Mike Goodman and Dao Nguyen joined our client the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) for an informative visit to the DeCesaris Cancer Institute in Annapolis, Maryland. The institute is widely recognized for offering high-quality cancer care to patients using the latest technology in diagnostics and treatments.
Cornerstone's Delora Sanchez Ifekauche spoke at the 2022 Maryland State of Reform Health Policy Conference in May to discuss the outcomes of the 2022 Maryland Legislative Session with a focus on health policy and fiscal work, while also providing her insights on the road ahead. The conference aims to bridge the gap between health care policy and political reality and identify how the state can work to strengthen the healthcare workforce.
Charles Carithers made several appearances on MSNBC's The ReidOut to talk about the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and recent Ukrainian counterattacks against Russia. Charles came to Cornerstone from the Department of Homeland of Security and advises our clients on issues related to national security and foreign policy.

The establishment of the ESOP allows us to stay focused on, and remain true to, our vision and philosophy, while at the same time creating equity and leadership opportunities for all employees and keeping everyone invested in the long-term success of the business. As owners of the business, our employees share in the future growth and prosperity of Cornerstone for years to come. It also allows us to adequately reward people for their commitment, loyalty and performance and create a platform for growth, diversification and sustainability. In May, our colleagues including Matt Paul, Claire Burghoff, Dao Nguyen and Eric Tober participated in and presented on panels during The ESOP Association's (TEA) annual conference to discuss various topics including Advocacy 101, Grassroots, and issues facing ESOPs.
