Cedar Ridge Children’s Home School, Inc

Cedar Ridge Children’s Home & School, Inc. has been part of the Washington County community since 1963; and yet, there are those who don’t realize that there are many facets of our organization providing service to others. We serve the community with our Residential Program and our Special Education School, both of which were established for young men who we reach out to through trauma focused counseling, education, spiritual enrichment and a variety of other support mechanisms. Our staff in the Home and School provides positive influences to help each young man realize their potential to achieve a safe, healthy, meaningful and positive life. We are also proud to have on campus the leading community listener-supported radio station, WCRH 90.5 FM, The Compass®. Since 1975, WCRH has been proclaiming the gospel of Christ to listeners throughout the four-state region. With online streaming and phone apps, many now listen to their favorite programs and uplifting music on the go. Within our Residential program, Special Education School and WCRH, we have dedicated personnel who are committed to serving our community. Many of our staff has provided over 20 years of service to Cedar Ridge. More than 120 years of service are represented by our Senior Management staff (Paula Shatzer, CEO; Tom Badley, Residential Director; Jeff Bean, Radio Director; and Paula Hayes, School Administrator) pictured in the photo above. We highly value our staff and know that they are the backbone of what makes our programs successful. Without the commitment, dedication and faithful years of service to this organization, we recognize that success with our residents and students would not be possible. We dedicate this page to our hard-working, talented, selfless staff who gives so freely to those we serve!
