APOSTOLIC NUNCIATURE IN THE PHILIPPINES
Message of the Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Giuseppe Pinto on the occasion of the 33rd Anniversary of the Couples for Christ I cordially greet the officers and members of the Couples for Christ as they celebrate the 33rd Anniversary of their foundation, which this year is even made more significant with the observance of the Year of the Laity, declared by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines. The numerous apostolic initiatives undertaken in coincidence with this year of grace have strengthened ecclesial communion and renewed the enthusiasm of the disciples and missionaries of the Lord to proclaim the Gospel to the next generation. In his encyclical letter Lumen fidei (the Light of Truth) the Holy Father Pope Francis highlights that the Christian faith, centered on the risen Lord, "is truly a good for everyone; it is a common good. Its light does not brighten simply the interior of the Church, nor does it serve solely to build an eternal city in the hereafter; but it helps us to build our societies in such a way that we can journey towards a future of hope" (n. 51).

May you find in the community ofer goodness of the risen Lord the power to overcome with patience and love every difficulty and to announce to the world the salvation brought by Christ (cfr. Lumen gentium, 7d). Invoking the maternal intercession of the Virgin Mary, na of d of our faith" (LF 60), in thename "Mother of the Church and the Successor of Peter, I have the honor to transmit the Apostolic Blessing that Pope Francis imparts with affection to all those present at the thanksgiving liturgy and to all who participate in it spiritually.
