Welcome Dear WelcomeMember,toSeptember and the arrival of autumn! Between getting ready for the first burst of activities around our statewide educational initiative called Ohio Learns 360, new episodes of our For the Love of EdTech podcast, the return of our CET/ThinkTV Action Auction and production work on $martpath, it’s a busy time at your public television stations. But first, I want to thank our new and renewing Members who contributed to ThinkTV and CET during our August pledge drive. Membership support represents the single largest contribution to our annual budget and makes everything we do possible. This month, Ohio’s PBS stations will launch our first Ohio Learns 360 activities. Ohio Learns 360 is an educational initiative designed to help accelerate learning during out-of-school time, providing PBS resources to after-school programs, summer programs and families at home. The goal of the project is to address COVID-related learning loss for children K–5 statewide. The project includes Camp-in-a-Box for after-school and summer school programs; virtual afterschool events for families; family webinars to answer parents’ most pressing questions; virtual field trips and community events. The first of those events kick off this fall. More information about Ohio Learns 360 can be found on our websites, CETconnect.org and thinktv.org. Our education and communication teams are also excited to launch Season 2 of our podcast, For the Love of EdTech, which explores how educational technology can be used to improve students’ learning experience and easy ways educators can implement EdTech in their classrooms. Visit fortheloveofedtech.org for more information and to listen to episodes.

Lion: The Rise and Fall of Marsh Pride
Wednesday, September 14 at 9pm on CET and ThinkTV16

September Highlights
Monday, September 5 at 10pm on ThinkTV16 and CET “How do you live without your mother?” Filmmaker Judith Helfand asks this unbearable question twice: as a daughter caring for her terminally-ill mother and as an “old new mom”. With gallows humor and lots of heart, this multigenerational love story ultimately asks: what do we really need to leave our children?
Explore the powerful stories of those impacted by suicide – one of America’s most urgent health crises – and journey to the front lines of research with scientists whose work is leading to better prevention and treatment.

This groundbreaking documentary tells the epic story of the famed Marsh pride of lions as it battles for survival in Kenya’s famous Maasai Mara Reserve. Lion is a powerful tale of shifting loyalties, bloody takeovers, complex family dynamics and sheer resilience. On the Cover: The U.S. and the Holocaust Sunday, September 18 through Tuesday, September 20 at 8pm nightly on ThinkTV16 and CET
Combining the first-person accounts of Holocaust witnesses and survivors and interviews with leading historians and writers, this film dispels competing myths that Americans either were ignorant of the unspeakable persecution that Jews and other targeted minorities faced in Europe or that they looked on with callous indifference. Facing Suicide Tuesday, September 13 at 9pm on CET and ThinkTV16
