Inherrole,Laurenhelpsstudentsexplorecareerpathwaysthroughactivitieslikejob shadows,developemployabilityskills,andparticipateinhands-onlearning experiencesthroughtheYouthApprenticeshipProgram.Sheworkscloselywiththe DCEDCtoprovidecareerexplorationopportunities,including8thGradeCareerDay, ManufacturingDayTours,DoorCountyJobFairs,andRealityStoreeventspromoting financialliteracy.

Lauren’sfavoritepartofherjobisseeingstudentssoarintheirrolesbecauseof connectionsthroughYouthApprenticeship.Sheloveshearingfrommentorsthat theyhavetoremindthemselvesthatspecificstudentsarestillinhighschoolbecause ofhowtheyconductthemselvesintermsofqualityofwork,andalsomaturityonthe jobsite.Gratificationalsocomesfromhearingstudentsdiscusshowmuchtheylove theirjob,andontheflipside,hearingemployerssayhowmuchthey'vebenefited fromaprogramlikeYouthApprenticeship
