Staff Showcase MEET THIS WEEK’S VALUED TEAM MEMBER I’m grateful to serve as the Executive Assistant and Office Manager here at CESA 7, where every day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and occasionally fix the copy machine! The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help.

I’ve been happily married to Paul for 36 years, have three married adult children, and am a proud grandma to three wonderful grandchildren (and counting!).

With a lifelong background in customer service, spanning business ownership, manufacturing, leadership development, event planning, and catering, I’m now enjoying the adventure of working in education. I love serving others, finding creative solutions, and helping make each day a little better for those around me. I enjoy meeting all people, and there are no strangers, just friends I haven’t met yet!

District Spotlight CELEBRATING THIS WEEK‘S VALUED PARTNER DISTRICT The Gibraltar School District has been steadily building a caring, connected, and supportive environment for students and staff—and their partnership with CESA 7 has helped bring that vision to life. What began in 2020 with trauma-informed training during the challenges of COVID has grown into a districtwide effort to make sure every student feels seen, heard, and supported. With the creation of the District Mental Health Team, Gibraltar pulled together administrators, teachers, counselors, support staff, families, and community partners to collaborate on how best to support student well-being. From Safe Zones and Reset Spaces in classrooms to monthly mental health communication for families, the district has made mental wellness a visible, everyday priority.

Over the past two years, Gibraltar continued strengthening this culture of care by rolling out Character Strong lessons at the middle and high school—and piloting it at the elementary level.

Students played a big role by sharing their feedback through videos and surveys, helping the district shape programming that truly reflects their needs and experiences. The district also boosted its multi-level systems of support through WiMLSS coaching and launched a new Mental Health webpage that quickly became a well visited spot on the district website. These efforts show how Gibraltar is committed not just to programs, but to building a supportive community where students feel they belong.

Last year, Gibraltar took another big step forward by implementing Character Strong across all grades and continuing to receive coaching through both WiMLSS and Project AWARE with CESA 7. The district is focusing on strengthening attendance supports, using data to guide decisionmaking, and listening closely to feedback from staff, students, and families. With each new effort, Gibraltar is creating more opportunities for students and staff to feel connected, cared for, and ready to learn. Their dedication to well-being is what truly sets the Gibraltar School District apart.
