Kaitlyn Owens is in her fifth year working as an Occupational Therapist with CESA 7 As a school-based OT, Kaitlyn supports students in developing the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond from fine motor and sensory processing to self-regulation, assistive technology, executive functioning, and independence She is passionate about helping every child not only participate but truly thrive in their school environment by collaborating with students, teachers, families, and other professionals to create inclusive and supportive learning opportunities.
Kaitlyn has pursued numerous continuing education opportunities in areas such as mental health and sensory processing, assistive technology, and inclusive neurodiverse and neurodivergent treatment strategies for children with conditions including stroke, cerebral palsy, ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and more. She is also certified in Handwriting Without Tears, CPR, and AED, and continually seeks to expand her expertise to best serve her students.
Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, their black lab, and two energetic toddler boys When she isn’t doing that, she loves gardening, crocheting, and getting creative with baking in the kitchen
