Staff Showcase MEET THIS WEEK’S VALUED TEAM MEMBER I started teaching high school math at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1982 and remained there for 40 years until I retired in 2022. Over the years, I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and computer programming. I received my master's degree from UW-Oshkosh, which allowed students who took Calculus with me to earn both high school and college credit because I was an adjunct professor at UW-O. In 1994 I won the Herb Kohl Fellowship for CESA 6.

I eventually phased out of math and went full-time in technology. While attending a computer convention, I met a guy you might know named Brad Rodgers. Over the years, Brad has helped me with numerous projects, and we have even done some side jobs for our churches together.

When CESA 7 started the consortium with SentinelOne, it grew faster than anticipated. So Brad lured me out of retirement in August of 2025 to handle the SentinelOne onboarding, migrations, and support. I have been happily working for CESA 7 for about nine months. I love the fact that my schedule is very flexible and I still have time to pick up my grandkids or go for a motorcycle ride.

By far, the best part of my job is working with our SentinelOne Consortium clients. I am amazed at how different and unique the various districts are. I really enjoy teaching them how to implement or migrate to SentinelOne, and I love answering questions or digging for answers when I don't know.

The worst part of my job is, of course, having to work for Brad! (Just kidding, Brad!)

District Spotlight - Wrightstown Community School District I N T E N T I O N A L S U P P O R T & C O L L A B O R AT I V E L E A D E R S H I P The partnership between the Wrightstown School District and CESA 7 reflects a shared commitment to strengthening teaching and learning through intentional instructional support and collaborative leadership.

Throughout the year, educators at Wrightstown Elementary School engaged in professional learning and coaching with Beth Vande Hey, focused on building instructional capacity and enhancing classroom practices. This work supported alignment across grade levels and reinforced consistent, high-quality instruction for all students. Sarah Nelson, Director of Teaching and Learning, shared, “The collaboration between Wrightstown Elementary School and CESA 7 has been valuable in numerous ways. Our teachers are receiving high-quality coaching in the area of reading and writing on how to best meet the needs of the students in their classroom by providing high-quality Tier 1 instruction. The feedback that they receive from Beth can be directly seen in their teaching and planning. The teachers are vulnerable in asking questions and finding ways to advance their teaching strategies.”

In addition to classroom-focused support, CESA 7 partnered with district leaders to advance curriculum and instructional initiatives.

Charla Meyer, CESA 7 Literacy Specialist, worked with a team of educators to embark on the journey of adopting high-quality instructional materials. She also worked closely with Sarah Nelson to co-plan and co-facilitate districtwide Curriculum Council meetings.

Together, they guided the Council through the completion of a K–12 curriculum inventory while also beginning to build members’ understanding of Teacher Clarity 2.0 by Douglas Fisher, Nancy Frey, John Taylor Almarode, Kierstan Barbee, Olivia Amador Valerio, and Joseph Michael Assof. This work laid the foundation for deeper conversations around instructional coherence and student learning.

The District is looking forward to continuing its work with Charla into the 2026-2027 school year.

Through coaching, collaborative planning, and reflective conversations, the partnership emphasized sustainable practices that empower both educators and leaders. The focus on continuous improvement has strengthened instructional decision-making and supported a culture of professional growth across the district.

Together, Wrightstown School District and CESA 7 continue to focus on meaningful growth that positively impacts both staff and students, ensuring that high-quality teaching and learning remain at the center of their work.

Please join us in celebrating Karen Kleiber on her retirement from CESA 7!

During her time at CESA 7, Karen brought energy, positivty, and heart to every role she took on – from Executive Assistant/Office Manager to NEWYA School-Based Coach. She made a meaningful difference by building strong connections with students, staff, and community partners, and loved helping students explore future career opportunities.

Thank you, Karen, for all you’ve contributed to CESA 7 over the years. Wishing you happiness, fun, and endless new memories in retirement!
