Staff Showcase MEET THIS WEEK’S VALUED TEAM MEMBER I have had the privilege of being part of the CESA 7 staff for just over 11 years. I am honored to say that for my 25 year plus career, I have always been a part of education. Prior to my CESA role, I was a Middle School Technology Education teacher for almost 15 years. I was also part of the CESA 7 Carl Perkins team that brought the consortium back to CESA 7. As a life-long educator, it has been a pleasure working in all of these areas.

Since I have been at CESA 7, I have been part of the WiRCC team. (Wisconsin Regional Computer Center) My role in the group has been to support and train schools that use the Infinite Campus software as their Student Information System. As I support these great schools each day, I am lucky to get to work with wonderful staff at the different districts. It is equally nice that I get to work with them on another level when they ask to be trained in person or virtually on the different areas of Infinite Campus.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Education K-12 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. A few years after that, I started and completed a Master of Arts in Education from Viterbo University.

Outside of my work life, I am a proud parent and spouse to my loving family. I have loved seeing my children grow as I am in a time where they are in high school or beyond. My oldest is in his second year at UW-Stout working towards a degree in Game Design & Development. My daughter is about to graduate high school and will be attending Carthage College for a degree in Nursing.

My youngest son is just about to complete his sophomore year in high school and we are so proud of all he has accomplished so far. Last and most important, I am a lucky person to be married to my wife (an amazing 3rd grade teacher) for 25 years this summer.

I just want to say thank you to all the people in education that I have worked with over the years and to those that I have seen do wonderful things for their districts, students and families. I look forward to working with more people as the years continue. Have a wonderful spring.

District Spotlight – Kiel School District A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO LEADERSHIP & LEARNING The partnership between the Kiel School District and CESA 7 reflects a comprehensive approach to supporting educators, leaders, and students.

Over the past 2 years, CESA 7, in partnership with Proactive Special Education Consultants (PSEC), have provided professional learning and coaching to support Kiel's goal of providing high-quality teaching and learning through the development of Co-plan to Co-serve to Co-learn (C3) team structures to improve academic and behavioral outcomes.

In addition, CESA 7 has supported district leadership through ongoing coaching of their district and school leadership teams to strengthen and support implementation of these high-leverage practices. This includes support for ensuring efforts are aligned with district priorities. Together, Kiel and CESA 7 have built a strong partnership focused on capacitybuilding and collaboration leading to long-term success for each and every student.
