The Story...
Ten years ago, Certes IT Service Solutions was focused on providing IT talent into the public sector. That was our niche, until one of our government customers came to us with a challenge:
“Can you go further than just talent?”
So we did.
We launched a Managed Service offering, deploying SQEP and teams to deliver high profile programmes. And just like that, we moved from supplying people to delivering outcomes.
Over time organically gained new customers, developed a range of different delivery experience and expanded our solution capability. We were ready to take our service to the wider market.
But as we entered this saturated and prime
dominated market, there was always a different hurdle we had to overcome; financial viability, another framework we weren’t on, never enough case studies or not being able to demonstrate the breadth or specific experience. We were advised that the only way forwards was to deliver through the large consultancies.
We tried.
Provided case studies to help them win tenders. Did the early heavy lifting and brought the expertise. Our work ended up buried in someone else’s slide deck. No recognition. No direct relationship with the client. No voice at the strategic
table and dumped when not required any more.
Sound familiar?
We’ve experienced firsthand how the traditional model sidelines SMEs, even with government policies in place to protect the SME.
It’s time for a change!
The Idea...
Like you, we wanted something new.
GovSec Alliance is a simple but powerful idea: we’re stronger together.
What if specialist tech companies with complementary strengths came together and truly collaborate? An alliance where experience, insight, and resources are shared openly to create greater impact, especially in the complex world of Central Government and Security.
This concept is built on connection, not competition. With the contribution between tech SMEs whose work complements one another, every member brings something valuable to the table and benefits in return.
Areas of specalisims:
• Artifical Intelligence
• Security
• Infrastructure
• Cloud
• Application
• Data
• Project Management and many more.
A symbiotic ecosystem where collaboration unlocks new capabilities, value, and opportunities.
It’s still early days, but the foundations and ideas are strong. The vision is to build something that evolves with those who believe in it. With your input, support, and shared ambition, this idea can grow into a powerful force for progress.
Join Together. Win Together.

The Example...

Project Summary

In the modern digital age, cyberspace has emerged as a critical domain of operation for the UK’s military forces. Operating in this domain carries significant risks and demands, including the essential requirement to protect sensitive UK military information and data. To meet this challenge, the Ministry of Defence identified the need for automatic data classification.
Through the GovSec Alliance, Castlepoint, an AI-powered data classification solution, was connected with Certes IT Service Solutions. Leveraging their security-cleared programme delivery expertise within the MOD, Certes supported Castlepoint in successfully delivering the project.
Following a joint effort in the bid and tender process, Castlepoint and Certes were awarded the contract to deliver Automated Data Classification (ADC) for the Ministry of Defence. Under the agreement, Certes is responsible for providing programme management to ensure the Castlepoint software is implemented within the appropriate secure environment.
