VISION CARE CONTROLLI PERIODICI DELLA VISTA: PERCHE’ SONO IMPORTANTI? PERIODIC VISION CHECKUPS: WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT? Per mantenere in buono stato la salute della vista dei più giovani, è buona norma effettuare controlli visivi periodici per individuare e correggere precocemente eventuali difetti, evitando una riduzione della vista del bambino. Dal 4° fino al 6° anno di età, il controllo visivo andrebbe ripetuto ogni anno e dal 7° fino al 12° anno ogni 2. Si consiglia comunque un controllo prima dell’inizio di ogni anno scolastico in quanto l’efficienza visiva contribuisce al buon rendimento nello studio. Una particolare attenzione va posta durante l’ottavo anno di età dove si può presentare la cosiddetta miopia scolare che può essere trattata con lenti e montature idonee per prevenirne la progressione nel tempo.
