Director’s Statement
Because of your ongoing interest and support, it is an honor to return to our historical theatres in Centre County with some of the most pivotal films of the year. It is particularly striking to note the relevance of this year’s films as the news continues to unfold both here and abroad, including in Ukraine and Iran.
Since its inception, through films that range from horror to comedy, documentary to experimental to fiction, the festival breaks down boundaries between local and global, addresses pressing issues and provides the audience with multiple lenses through which to examine our realities.

As always, our film programmers, film lovers, community activists and sponsors, stand behind daring filmmakers, and celebrates freedom of expression by screening hard-hitting, heart warming, current, sometimes popular, sometimes edgy films. This year, it is thrilling to be able to bring back our High School Masterclasses. We will also continue to offer you an opportunity to meet the directors and talent of the films we screen, focus on Made in PA films, engage in post-screening conversations with local advocates, attend afterparties at some of our favorite venues, and listen to an exciting lineup of live music.
The 4th Annual Centre Film Festival is a venue for multimedia creators who re-define the contours of filmmaking and storytelling. Please join us in the celebration of cinema!
