Sermon Note
As we light the peace candle on the second Sunday of Advent, we are reminded through the words of John the Baptist that the primary way in which we make peace with God and one another is through repentance. Through repentance we show we are willing to live a different story through both the sign of our baptism, and our constant reminders of the promises made through that means of grace.
